Would be a whole lot easier to get up had they won, right?

Tomorrow's Friday Fun will be in color.  Might be fun.

hard to tell, but i think that is a 3 and a 1 (plus the A limits the options)

also, a factoid for you: the wings now place the C and A letters on the opposite side of the jersey to balance out the wing

Wings are one of only two teams in the NHL to put the letters on the right (from player perspective), if I am remembering correctly.

...and bought that sweater prior to Reebok's NHL deal.  The prior generation Nike and CCM (the best manufacturer for hockey sweaters, in my opinion) were designed to enable the "C" and "A" to be worn on the player's left.

The Wings used to wear their letters on the right side when Gordie Howe played...the sweaters were much more form-fitting then...and are supposed to be today, but really aren't.

The real question is which task is he going to attempt?  Shaving or brushing the teeth?  Much of the humor depends on knowing.  Or is this some kind of Rohrschach thing where it's whatever you want it to be?

I thought to myself "Huh, what?  Big Ten Hockey is going to East and West Divisions, with only like 3 teams in each Division?"

We don't all live near Detroit and are therefore Red Wings hockey fans, so it took a while to get the reference on a University of Michigan blog.  (Still don't really understand it, but the last Denard cartoon makes up for it.)

The Wings play in the West since they were one of the original 6 teams and definitely on the west side of the hockey world back then. Now with expansion the wings are still in the west until next year (FINALLY). The rouble being that when you play a game in Anaheim or any really west team the games don't start til 10-11pm EST. Hence him appearing wrecked in the a.m.

That is all. Great comic I've felt his pain for years.
