1st Semiannual MGoAwards (part 3 of 4)

Well, the nominations are all in.  Below are the nominees for each category.  We’re going to do the voting a little differently than the nominations.  I contemplated doing voting similar to the nominations, where the nominees are listed in comments and upvoted for the winner, or by creating an online poll where people could vote.  However, I wanted the results to be a surprise until the winner is revealed, and those methods would spoil the surprise.  So, here’s the plan.

I’ve created a gmail account ([email protected]).  Please send your votes there, using a format of “Category – Vote” Where “Category” is obviously the category, and “Vote” is obviously who/what you’re voting as the winner.  Where there are fewer than 3 nominees for any category, write in votes will be accepted.

Wow, I really wish you'd found more nominations, so I don't Return of the King the whole show. I didn't vote in anything I'm nominated for, but I wanted to call attention to a couple write-in candidate possibilities: Best Diary (Analysis): Busting the Myth of Option QB Fragility, by MCalibur Best Post: BY FAR: Beating a Dead Controversy by jwschultz. Original images, heavy analysis about a game-changing play...awesome. Of course, it should have been a Diary (but wasn't, so it counts), since that's what Diaries are anyhow. Best Troll, i.e, Visiting Fan: Not a Blue Fan. With all due respect to Irish, our resident Buckeye poster has never had a tin hat moment, while the much more prolific (and still very highly regarded I should note) Irish kind of broke down after the Notre Dame game this year. Best Use of Google: Long Live Bo, for the New Sparty Helmet

Thanks for the nomination. People must have won cash or something on those picks. I actually thought my bubble news features were more informative and worthy. The Picks is a guilty pleasure that the diary system allows. Either way, thanks for good thoughts and recognition. I enjoy people's responses to the work as much as the actual writing.

I will say this... As a design professional, the thought of losing out to MS Paint is so very 2009 Michigan Football. But personally, I have no problem taking second place to Shredder. He's developed something very unique and ran with it. My personal favorite was the Stay-Puft Buckeye.

...to nominate Tom Hagan in the "best meltdown" catagory? I think he just took it to another level this evening, if that was possible. He just posted something really bizarre in the "spread to pro style offense" thread. I have a feeling he would "win" easily if the amount of times mentioned in the last two weeks is any indication.
