This could be 20/20 hindsight but watching the gif, it looks like he is nervous.  He takes a deep breath and then exhales.  I did the same thing while standing next to my couch for the last 30 seconds of the game.

If the ball is not touching the basket at the time, is not interference--for example, if the ball is above the rim and not actually on it. Pretty close as it is bouncing around. Either way, no way it gets called. The net gets touched multiple times a game as the ball comes through it and they never make that call.

I only brought this up because I was holding my breath thinking Morgan might have touched the ball while it was on the rim.  But since you provided such a thought-provoking counter-argument, here you go, p46: http://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/BR13.pdf

"Basket interference occurs when a player: a. Touches the ball or any part of the basket [which includes the net] while the ball is on or within the basket;"

but the rule requires some sort of disadvantage to the other team and it's more than a stretch to pretend that Morgan barely grazing the net in that manner affected the ball's path in any manner.

All four of the basket interference rules are aimed at preventing the aiding or hindering of a ball's end spot destination once the ball is on or above the rim.

"But the spirit of the rule isn't in the rule book and if you go on a technical understanding of the rule I'm right."  I agree.

But it's not like I'm making up the "spirit of the rules" argument.  The rulebook itself uses the term.

I was suprised to learn this as well, as I don't think I've ever seen a player called for it for just touching the net in ANY game situation.  Regardless, I do think he violated the technical rule here, but I think everyone probably gets that call every time.

man...

That almost had the same roll as the last shot versus Indiana in Ann Arbor last year...and with the same guy beneath the basket. Thankfully this one rolled the right way.

I love how druing the celebration of the basket, everyone else jumps up and celebrates...while Bacari slowly rises from his chair and walks with a purpose to shake hands. PIMP.

How fitting for GR3 to bring the dagger too - that is the type of win champions make - you aren't supposed to win, it's a trap game, you will be flat after an emotional home win to lead your conference, you are on the road, you start off bad, go down 19...but gut it out, never give up, and win the game. Seems like every champion has at least one win like this and that hopefully was ours!! Go Blue!!

On the broadcast view, what's the referee at the bottom of the screen motioning for, and what exactly is he calling?  On the video clip in the prior thread I even hear whistles.

Just curious.

You just have to love the positivity of Coach Beilein.  When they broke the huddle and you see him with a smile on his face and, "Win the Game" attitude, I was ready to jump on the court !  Who wouldn't want to play for a coach like that?

Playing a game is easy but to win the game the player has to compete a lot. As per my knowledge regarding the games it differs according to games like if it is a game of children's then easy to play it. After a long time I have seen such a sports show that describing the value of winning team and the loosong team. Mostly the audience supports to their favorite one and after winning the match it is depend upon the social sites to make it highlight.
