Willie Haulstead: "Michigan is still in the hunt"

According to the Rivals article on the frontpage, Willie Haulstead is still interested in Michigan. Says he is still committed to the Criminoles, but that Michigan is "narrowing the gap."

http://michigan.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=77294

Hopefully the few quotes I put in didn't break the C&P rules.

Yea I actually did, and it didn't settle anything. He said it's either For-see-ay, or For-see-er. He said either pronunciation is fine. I think he says For-see-er though, FWIW. That's how I've been pronouncing it when I read it to myself on here.

Well, Stallworth is a different player than Stokes and Haulstead. They're more outside receivers, Travante is slot/ath guy. He could probably try to play a couple different positions. So he's not really in that category, it's more of eithe Stokes or Haulstead, and if it were my choice, I would rather have Je'Ron Stokes. We might have a better shot at him anyways.

I don't want to sound negative on the kid, I just think we may have other needs. (unless we want to go over 25 which maybe a good idea with the early enrollees)

I still don't understand why outside WR is listed as a position of need. Our WR's are primarily blockers right now while the QB position matures. As far as route running skill guys go...Stonum is fine for now until the 2010 kids come in.

As far as LBs go...it looks like we're sticking S/LB hybrids in there. A stud MLB would be nice, but the only positions I'm stressing over is 1 more corner and a capable dual threat QB. Period.

they are in this offense. Some rookie QBs rely on the middle of the field and TE's...we do bubble screens to the tiny slot guy. Which is fine and all...but it'll be a couple years before we get a Shaun King or Colt McCoy. By then there will be Stonum, Jackson and Miller on the outside...that's plenty! Plus Clemons and J.R. are only going to get better.
