Can anyone tell me what time I should be at the golf course? I'm going to the game on Saturday and I would like to be on the golf course. Any help is appreciated.
What time do you get to the golf course?
do you plan on doing any tailgating? if so show up as early as you want. I usually get there at about noon for a 3:30 kick-off. I'm not sure what time the place usually fills up, probably should arrive no later than 2:00. by the way, it was $40 to park there last year. might be even more this year since they're closing a portion of Main St.
Where is the best place to park? I am going to this Saturdays game, first time in a long time. Anybody know where I should plan to park and how much cash I should have?
depends on how far you want to walk. the golf course on Stadium is about as close as you're going to get, but it takes all day to get out of there. last year it cost $40. wouldn't suggest parking there if you're not planning on tailgating. you'll be able to find a small parking lot or somebody's yard no problem, regardless of where you're coming from. plan on spending about $15-20 for any spot within a half mile of the stadium.
One thing to consider when parking is that you probably want to avoid State Street. Getting to the Stadium before the game and leaving after the game is a pain. Ann Arbor-Saline is a much better option, and has far more parking available, if you aren't headed to the golf course. I seem to recall some plan to help facilitate traffic leaving after games this year, but it just won't be as effective as all lanes of AA-Saline going toward 94.
Assuming I'm not setting up a tailgate that needs to be in a certain location, I would park either at one of the lots on Scio Church (first road immediately south of Pioneer HS or in the neighborhood West of the Stadium (surrounding Allmendinger Park). Lots of front yards to park in.
Is always a nice place to park. I usually park at the Art/Architecture building and then take Bursley Bates Bus or Northwood bus to main campus, and then stroll to the stadium. Makes getting out on 23 pretty easy as well.
ok, north campus may be a little excessive, but if you don't plan on tailgating and just want to ditch your car somewhere, I suggest the Maynard Street parking structure right across the street from Borders. At 80-cents/hour, it would take you a long time to get up to $25 there, plus easy access to 23 and you can walk through campus if you so choose.
What is this "North" campus you speak of? Some sort of political prison? An abandoned relic from the 1800s?
as an engineer who takes all of his classes on north campus, it is in fact a political prison. full of asians, indians and computer programmers. the only good thing about north campus is panda express
and SI_grad, you really park on north campus? thats kind of ridiculous if you ask me. as long as you dont show up late or leave early park on campus. its full of college houses selling off their front yards for beer money. support the cause!
God, I used to love Tuesdays.
Not that anyone cares, but I usually park in the structure on Main and William, behind Palio's. It's a bit of a haul, but it's cheap and close to any of the dining establishments/dens of sin that I typcially visit after the game.
They have a Panda Express on North Campus now??? God, I probably would be dead by now if they had that when I was there. Instead I dined on dollar double cheeseburgers and McChickens every evening.
I'll probably be up at the golf course around 10 a.m. to start tailgating. I used to park at Pioneer and I was just curious as to how early the golf course fills up. You answered my question though, thanks.
