“I’m more of a back-to-the-basket type of big man that rebounds a lot,” Swanigan said on Wednesday, describing his game. “I have a Zach Randolph type of game — that’s who I base my game off of. Being physical and playing with both hands on the rim.”

  • Walton Jr. waits in wings for Michigan

“He passes, he makes other guys better and he can score the ball as well. With that freshman adjustment, it’s all about how quickly you adjust to the speed of the game and the length of the players on the court,” Jordan said. “We know he has good vision and passing ability. Kids come in as freshmen like Trey and they don’t know what to say from a leadership standpoint, so they’re just listening and that’s where the other guys come in and show them the ropes.”

I think Gallon's dad took the video. He seems really pumped up about the experience. The other guys are Je'Ron Stokes and Brendan Gibbons.

At the bottom of the page there are some related videos in which Rich Rod pumps up the boys and leads them down the tunnel. Good stuff.

I really liked Barwis selling his ability. I can see now how he is an asset to the whole recruiting experience. And I really loved when RR had the kids imagining they were going into the big house. He is starting to get it!

If you have to ask twice it means that you didn't get it the first time.

I don't know what I expected the recruiting experience to be like, but I had hoped it was what was on those tapes. That is at once wholesome and impressive without being overly cheesy. Wide-eyed players experiencing the campus and the coaches with thier families, soaking up the experience and the history. Good stuff.

I think it would be sweet if they play the fight song as the recruits are walking through the tunnel just to give them somewhat of a feel of what it is like on game day.

That might get to the level of a recruiting violation. You can't simulate a game day experience. I don't know where they draw the line on that though.

Simulate is the key word. What they don't want is a bunch of big budget schools to go crazy dazzling kids with a bunch of pyrotechnics and authentic jerseys with their name on the back doing the whole game day experience. If they are there for a game its fine for them to hang out.

I loved the part when RR was describing the Big House to the players and said something like "The stadium will be about half full by now, but that's still like 60,000." Well done RR, well done! I don't know why everyone gives this guy so much crap, he is a great coach and I am happy to have him. Just wait till we start winning a few games and the offense starts scoring some points, most everyone in the nation will be giving us a look...
