We are now about 80% sure Harbaugh to Oakland isn't happening. Guys, I think we've really got a shot here.

The good news is we are only down 7 having turned it over twice.  Cut the TO's an it's probably a tie.  Also, we have had Chesson open deep twice.

Bad news is the TO's and the fact that Rudock couldn't hit Chesson.

The idea that the run blocking improved last year was always wishful thinking. What happened was the sked got easier. If you look at the seven common opponents in 2013 and 2014, we actually ran the ball worse.

The run defense is solid.

The pass defense isn't bad. There haven't been any egregious breakdowns, although Peppers has looked like a freshman in coverage. Lewis looks good.

The run offense does not exist.

The pass offense has been hot garbage. Rudock had two horrible interceptions and two horrible overthrows on gift-wrapped touchdowns. I trust that he just played the worst half he'll play all season.

The special teams are adequate.

Not sure if I should be happy or sad about being down 7.

Rudock had two open looks at Chesson that he missed. He threw two interceptions, one that was his fault and the other he gunned at Perry after he overthrew Chesson.

Rudock has really screwed up a few times. Jehu had a for sure touch down and another deep catch that rudock just biffed. I hope Ty Isaac gets some more run. I'm confident though, the defense has been FANTASTIC.

It'll be interesting to see how long we stick with trying to run between the tackles in the second half... It's not working well, and time will become a factor quickly if we can't come up with seven points in a hurry (and that doesn't seem like a stretch right now.)

Making changes at QB is the most annoying/overrated thing fans demand for...

Don't get me wrong, you can't put up with nothing forever. But the first INT was clearly on Perry and the 2nd may have too although it looked like a high pass.

No excuse for the missed deep balls, but he's commanding the huddle and he actually looks like a QB out there.

Let's see if he can settle in before we pull him.

If it's the start of the 4th and you're still not getting anything. Give Shane a drive or 2 just to see what he can do.

I think the passing play calling has to be a little better. Rudock is great at the short throws...give him more.

Rudock is the kind of QB that should be 10 for 12 for 90 yards and 1 TD.

Short throws!

If you have absolutely no run game, you could put Tom Brady in there and he's going to throw picks.  The issue isn't the QB, it's the same issue that has plagued this team since 2007, no o-line and no stable running back.  If you don't have a run game and your QB is anyting less than a throw-god, you are going to get hammered.  Here we are, another year, another shitty run game.  It's going to be a long season unless Harbaugh can work a miracle.

He doesn't look that good.  He doesn't make guys miss and he doesn't have the speed to make big plays.

If we can figure out how to score 17 in the second half, I think we win it.

One thing I've noticed is that we've been getting receivers open all night, for all the speculation that we might struggle there.  Rudock's either missed them or thrown at the covered guy.  He's locking in on people, which isn't what I expected out of him.

I just hate seeing our linemen getting blown up off the ball. Our last drive saw a whiff due to a swim move and a right guard getting pushed back by a DT who was on his KNEES. It's fundamentals we're still lacking

If we put Morris in what happens? We have another QB with opening season jitters, who has a propensity for turnovers to start with?

Keep Rudock in, he will settle down in the second half.

for third and long passing game. We don't have the play makers at QB or receiver to make it happen. We need to mix up the play calling and try to surprise them or keep them off balance.
