I mean this:  I'm watching the game in NoCal with my girlfriend and we split at the suspension of play.  We sit outside and enjoy an ice cream on a beautiful day and plan what else we'll do with the afternoon.  I had fun.

It occurs to me that this could not possibly have happened a few years ago.  There is no such thing as "enjoying the rest of the day" when Michigan loses.  Which suggests to me that I've just disconnected from the program in a way I never thought possible.

Ugh.  I'm having a nice day.  Ugh.

That said, if they restart play, I'm watching.  So maybe there's a flicker there still.  The idea of Michigan playing without me watching is still even more unthinkable than me enjoying the rest of my day.

The only thing different about this game and the Notre Dame game, two weeks ago, is our Willy Henry scored a defensive touchdown and Matt Wile made his field goal. That's the only difference. We got killed. Gardner sucks at quarterback. Ben Braden is the worst offensive lineman. Jake Ryan was bad.

Until they figured out our passing game is of no threat whatsoever. It's been the same for 5 years now. Pressure our qb's who can't read a d or find anyone but there first receiver...and even if they can they can't hit the broad side of a barn....and watch us flail around helplessly.

Subtracting the 2012 Nebraska game of great elbow sadness:

With Denard as starting QB, Hoke caveman offense:  16-4  (3-2 in Rivalry); which includes the Iowa game of great stupidity and the Alabama beatdown.

Without Denard as starting QB, Hoke caveman offense: 12-10  (1-4 in Rivalry).
