Anyone know the deal about the game today.

oh, go USA!!!!!!!!!!!1
telemundo has it billed as:
LA HORA DE LA VERDAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh how I hate Ohio State!
Last time I used the site I got massive amounts of spyware. Anyone else have that problem?

use this as an IT consultant its the shit and it only takes like 10 minutes to run a quick scan.
yes, i have had that problem before.
Phil Brabbs FTW
I came across that software last srping after having some problems, and it's awesome. Just used it to clean up a friend's computer last week, it knocked out 267(!) pieces of spyware on his machine.
WE ARE GOING TO BE A MACHINE.
(Just a few years later than I'd hoped)
I had a friend suggest the same. It happened to my work comp and it even showed me where in the registry the spyware was.

www.channelsurfing.net has lots of sports. Not sure if this game is covered, but in the future FYI.
At least around these hemispheres. This could be the year we break on through, the Mexican team is having a down year while we look like we're ready to move into the upper eschelon of the Soccer world. That place is going to be rocking; Azteca certainly has it's aura.
USA! USA!
It's time to revisit the halls of Montezuma with a victory, Go Blue! And Red! And White!
You have to play this game like somebody just hit your mother with a two-by-four. ~Dan Birdwell
Anyone know why the game is not on ESPN or ESPN2? It seems like all of the other US World Cup Qualifying have been and it seems weird that one of the biggest one's isn't. Also, whats with the 4:00 PM start? Is there a reason why its an afternoon kick on a weekday?
If you can't get into college go to State.
4:00 pm to maximize the heat. wednesday because it doesnt conflict with club schedules. there are lots of international matches today
not on espn because they got held up for a bunch of $ and said no thanks
The weather disagreed with Mexico's plan -- high in the mid-70s today. And a chance of rain too, which would be interesting.
The pollution will be bad though. And regardless of time it's still at altitude.
1) The pollution isn't that bad given that the stadium is on the edge of the city. (Yes, there is altitude - that is more likely to be a factor.)
2) This time of year, it isn't really ever all that hot here in Mexico City - certainly not hot enough to have an impact on the game.

I think it is unfair to say that there is some type of "plan" to affect the outcome of the game based on the time of day...
It's not unfair to say it -- if they weren't trying to get it during the hotter and worse pollution conditions, they'd have put the game at night, which would be less disruptive to business down there and easier for everyone to watch. As it is, business will pretty much shut down throughout the country, other than bars, for the whole afternoon because of the game.
They definitely did this in hopes that it would be hot and humid. Looking at ESPN's pregame show, it doesn't look smoggy, and the weather isn't hot, and they're saying it's not humid either. As good of conditions as a road team could hope for there.
The mid day start is Mexico's attempt to take advantage of the air pollution of Mexico City. (Worst in late afternoon).
It's on mun2 b/c ESPN wasn't willing to pay Telemundo a jacked up charge for the rights -- something on the lines of 3-5x what they normally pay. The strange reality is that Telemundo (NBC Universal) has rights to the USMNT WC qualifying broadcasts in the US and franchises them to ESPN.
play this match in the ninth circle of Hell than at Azteca. That said, a win would be sweeeet
If you were in Azteca, you could watch it from the 7th circle if you were to kill yourself, as that's where the suicidal go. But you'd also be turned into a bleeding tree and attacked by harpies. Win some, lose some.
Literature's fun.
El Estadio Azteca will bow before the awsomeness that is Landon Donovan.
the supreme head butt
I live in A2 and see it on channels 607 and 611. I have a normal cable package and can view the channels now.
Sheeeeeeeit
... for work right now, and people are INSANELY wound up for this game. It is definitely a cool day to be here.
They're basically saying that about 2p (central time here), everything is just going to shut down so that people can watch the game / drink / party / whatever. There are big expectations given the win over our B-team last time around...
Also - I love those roll calls from Cover-It-Lives, and I'm wondering how many people read MGoBlog from Distrito Federal de Mexico.
838 on directTV. They're currently doing a pregame show mixed with music videos. This is the greatest pregame show ever.
i found it on justin.tv, though that atdhe link usually has these kinds of things too..
GOGOGOGOGOGOGO!!!!!

Wow I just started watching and Mexico just scored an absolutely beautiful goal to equalize.
Galileo was also chastised.
If the US keeps playing like this theyre going to lose by at least 2 goals.

How ridiculous was it that I, an english speaker, just watched a commercial spoken completely in some form of mandarin about a show in spanish. My head asploded.
its on telemundo and mun2 at 4:00
