If those NCAA sanctions actually pass, I'd be incredibly happy to eliminate the secondary violations schools gets for cellphones, texting, social media, etc. The form of communication shouldn't matter anymore with athletes; focus on schools going to truly insidious lengths when recruiting and that will clean up most of the issues we see with college football.
the 1964 season. He went 9-1 and won the Rose bowl against Oregon. But the wheels kind of fell off the program and there were way too many .500 and sub .500 seasons. At least Bo turned the program around. I feel that Hoke will do the same!
The program was starting to decline at the end of Oosterbaan's tenure, and Bump didn't stop the slide. He had five losing seasons, and just one conference title. In 22 games against MSU and OSU, we had five total victories and two ties, and a number of the losses were lopsided shutouts.
From what I've read and heard over the years, Elliott didn't like the job of recruiting, and UM had acquired the reputation of not being a very tough squad from a physical standpoint. Bo changed that immediately.
Does anyone know if the NCAA is considering a rule change that would allow underclassmen to retun if not drafted?
