Uniformz Doom At Hand? Comment Count

Brian

An eagle-eyed user caught this: the M-Den is now listing something hardly different from the doomiform the Free Press published and Dave Brandon laughed at:

That looks official what with its number and the Adidas logo and looking all like a thing that exists in the world. You still can't buy one (it errors out when you click on the monstrosity) but I think it's official enough to say that Michigan is going to look very, very stupid when they take the field against Notre Dame.

(new scoreboards new scoreboards new scoreboards not a cesspool of filth and corruption so deep Sepp Blatter is impressed deep breaths)

Call me crazy, but I actually don't think these are too bad. No, they're not exact historical replicas, but I don't think the night game is intended to please the traditionalists. Similar to the Big Chill uniforms, I think they are the type that will look better being worn than on the rack.

As it's only one game, I actually do not mind these too much but I will agree that the stripes are a bit much.  Maybe two stripes (or three for Adidas!) would be best (maybe just the shoulders or end of sleeves).

I kind of like the stitched block M.  I have a Michigan hockey jersey that has a similar design and like it.

I agree, it is only 1 game BUT Denards run vs ND was only in one game last year, drsmond's catch was only in one game, charles' one handed int was only in one game. If something awesome happens in a rival game we are bound to see highlights of it forever, and while I am sure that adidas will be happy I am not sure I would want to relive a gimmick like this over and over. do this vs Illinois or some other game that is not so loaded with other stuff, at least Illinois could be some sort of red grange game anniversary and the b1g could grant a 1 game exception for front numbers and they could have more original throw backs.

Take the stripes off the sleeves leave them on the shoulders , all in all i think they will look ok on gameday. The main problem is too many stripes

I was thinking about a jersey with the wings from the helmet on the shoulders , that would look awesome

Here is my attempt at a quick Photoshop mockup of our beloved quarterback sporting the night game jerseys. Maybe it will make us all feel a little better? At least when the players wear them, there should be less stripes since they wear much shorter sleeves.

These look bad in the stand-alone image, but they might - might - look okay on, with pads underneath.  I actually like the M and the small number a lot.  It's the stripes that will make or break it.

I'm not going to pass judgement until I can see them on an actual football player. I have always disliked the sleeves that apparently MUST reach the consumers elbow on jerseys for public purchase, I think they will look better on the players.

Per a source inside the university this is not the design they will be using. It was thought of as a design but it will NOT be the ones we will be wearing.
