I posted something similar yesterday or two days ago, I don't recall. This idea is all of a sudden very relevant today.
UConn is exactly the opposite of ND when you consider ND is generally way overrated as a team but their national cache is very high. UConn is the exact opposite, they are a very solid football team with basically little to no national exposure.
A loss to UConn would be seen by the casual observor, uninformed voters, and possibly even recruits as a pretty large black eye. I couldn't care less about the casual observor but it would be a shame if this loss carried more weight to the other parties than it should.
Regardless I guess the answer would be to win the game then.
