There is no way the NCAA comes down on UCLA without checking in across town, and that's never going to happen.
UCLA vs USC
When it comes to the campus, UCLA is a paradise compared to USC. I think the change in coaches at USC is causing some concern for some recruits plus the playing opportunities UCLA has over USC.

UCLA is undoubtedly way more beautiful. The school is gorgeous, there is a reason the Rose Bowl is so popular. But when I visited both schools campuses though, I saw more hot girls at USC...

That's the only problem with UCLA. Students have to drive (or take a campus bus) for 45-60 minutes to go to a home football game. That absolutely sucks.

This is what it's supposed to be
In every other region, there are multiple teams that are strong: winning programs, tradition, etc...Consequently those teams battle for the top recruits in their region.
USC has had the luxury over the past ten years of having NO ONE in any proximity who can compete realistically for a plethora of west coast athletes. Success and location have subsequently contributed to major pulls from other regions.
If location were the only factor, these teams would have been recruiting evenly all along. (This argument also stands to refute the "oh my god its snowing" thread). If UCLA can put a reasonable team on the field, we SHOULD see some shake up in the PAC10. If tricky ricky is up to shenanigans, let pete carrol fight that out.
Either way, it won't affect our recruiting on the West Coast much. Kids who want to get away will do that - and the best ones will want to find the best programs...which we will be....soon.
