So. That happened. If you are feeling like David after Dentist, you are not alone.

And you can't have one without the other…

Let's not blow it against Purdue!

In other M news: volleyball kicked Ohio State's ass in three straight, yay. Also, I had not noticed in previous BTN telecasts, but we have a smoking hot assistant/grad assistant.

That seems awfully low for a basketball game. I'm not convinced Beilein's offense will work out here

oh wait. my sources are telling me that this was a football game.

also, if you wanna go back and watch the espn3 replay, when we stopped illinois to win and everyone rushes off the sideline, it looks like richrod knocked over some poor assistant in his celebration

I just checked internet.  I was first very happy.  Then kind of sad.  Then a little bit concerned.  Some confusion about score.  Then happy again.

Then I looked at box score.  5 turnovers made me sad again.  But then 67 points despite 5 turnovers made me happy.  Then confused.

Then my wife said turn of the computer.  I am going out to buy a $5 bottle of rum.  Then I will sit under a tree for a very long time and consider this game.

i can't believe i'm saying this after illinois just hung 65 on us.... but does anyone else feel like our defense kinda sorta played ok? they didn't lose the game for us once it was tied up at 45 in the last couple minutes, and that seems like significant progress (sadly).

I was thinking similarly.  If only they had stopped Illinois in the first OT when it was 1st down on our 4.  There was some improvement, but not enough.  The biggest improvement was 3rd down conversion (6/16 I think).

I need some MGoBlog help.  I subscribed to the Free Press for three years as an undergrad in the 80's, and naturally went to their website to stay in touch with U of M sports.  I stuck with them through the NCAA violations "scandal", chalking it up to tough reporting,  I have been going there daily for general sports reporting and here daily for the instrospective and hilarious posts.  But yesterday was the last straw.  In Drew Sharp's article yesterday (Ties that bind Big Ten in mystery) he refers to the Capital One Bowl as the "Lloyd Carr Classic", and then makes a crack that U of M would ask the NCAA to give them a bowl ban so they don't have to go to the Little Caesar's Bowl.  Why am I even reading this asshole's articles?  What a jackass to intentionally insult Carr, not to mention a majority of his readership.  I'm so done with the Free Press.  It made me so angry that after reading this blog daily for six months, I created a user id on here just to make this post.

So where should I go to get a daily dose of general U of M sports reporting where I'm not going to have colunnists insulting me?

Mlive.com/sports is a good place to start.  I quite often read Ann Arbor news stories linked from there.  Det news and Freep are also there.  I just don't click on the freep articles.  Thewolverine.com has a news wrap compilation most days with the same collected stories plus stories from the Michigan Daily.
