Terry Richardson to Grad Transfer
[Eric Upchurch]
I don't know why Ohio-based Scout guy Bill Greene is breaking all these but he is. Here you go:
Michigan DB Terry Richardson is leaving the program to pursue other options. Will be eligible immediately as a grad-transfer. #MICHIGAN

Richardson never saw playing time after being a highly touted recruit out of Cass Tech, probably because he couldn't put on enough weight to tackle guys. Michigan has 24 commits and 18-ish spots until the next grad transfer announcement Greene will break in about 15 minutes.

That's a great point. Do you happen to know every academic senior who walked on senior day? It wouldn't be conclusive, but would give a clue on who might be transferring out.

44 players walked out for senior day this year - much was made of the massive #.

Good luck young man, I'm sure Cass and UM have prepared you well for whatever's ahead for you!

Good luck to him! When he commited to M with Alabama and such after him, I thought he'd be all that Jourdan Lewis has been.

at the end of the recruiting dead period. For the guys that are graduating, they have the ability to seek options elsewhere and get in the mix before signing day. For new potential recruits, it helps ease concerns about room in the incoming class, which may turn a few of them our way.

You're saying this Harbaugh fellow may know what he's doing?

but small height causes challenges in reaching for higher passes (unless one has MJ jumping ability) and playing against big receivers. It seems Michigan has gone away from the real short DB's in recruiting. I do wish Terry the best of luck and thanks for his contributions here.

"Richardson never saw playing time after being a highly touted recruit out of Cass Tech, probably because he couldn't put on enough weight to tackle guys."
Terry Richardson: 5'9", 174lbs
Jourdan Lewis: 5'10", 176lbs
Size was not Richardsons problem.
