Over the course of the last few days I have heard more about the intagibles then the X's and O's. I think that the team knows they have the talent and better personel to run the system this season but that is not what they are talking about. Mesko was talking to the press today and stated "it is just a feeling, we are gelling." Minor said it on MGOBLUE two days ago in a round about way. Brandon Graham looks as though he wants to literally eat some QB's. Also all three players talked about it at B10 Media Days. I know that every team skirts around the "we just have it attitude" but in the interviews I just see something that I did not see last year or trough the spring. IMO this team is coming together and has a fire like we have not see in a while. It is in there eyes they all have something to prove. Lets hope that they can take that fire and win some games and shut people up. Can't wait to kick off and we can all stop wondering what is to come.
Team Attitude toward the Season(Better?)
That is all.
Intangables sounds like a fruit drink I'd send with my daughter to school, but not one that Brandon GRAHAM would drink when eating QBs.
And I'm not really sure how to measure INTANGIBLES, though I know some ESPN on ABC announcers think they have the formula.
are off the charts, you know, the charts used for measuring such things.
I like wondering about what is to come...
The next cereal in the Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Frankenberry line
The cure for AIDS
Alcohol infused "energy" water
Alcohol energy water? Never heard of "Sparks"? (That stuff is gross by the way.)
hasn't made an intangible t shirt yet?
b/c he has no tangibles.

Michigan football, now sponsored by Dr Scholls.
I'd prefer it if we were sponsored by Dr. Quinn. She is my favorite medicine woman (which is what I call all female doctors)
"The Iowa defender guy"
Does this just mean you like Iowa? Or is there a joke I'm missing.
I have sort of built up a reputation for defending Iowa in posts where people question their quality going into the season. i think Iowa is at least the third best team in the Big Ten, and I think there is an outside chance that they will win the conference since Ohio State and Penn State lost so much talent. Someone called me the Iowa defender guy in a thread, so I put it in my signature.
Basically, I will either get, like, 2 people congratulating me for my foresight if Iowa does well, or 25 mocking me for my obnoxious Iowa ramblings if the team sucks. I'm guessing it will be more of the latter
No. We'll mock you either way.
That's what I was afraid of! :(
It has nothing to do with Iowa. We just like mocking you.
"If we wanted us a pair uh sissies we woulda named em Doctor Quinn and Medicine Woman!"
My sister worked really hard for that MD. So, she's probably REALLY going to hate me calling her Medicine Woman. And a well earned +1 to you, sir.
Tape it and put it on Youtube. Women will do anything when they're on camera. She might bust through a wall or something in her MINOR RAGE
That's so sexist how dare...
Wait, wait, wait, are you a woman? On the internet?! You're a rare breed, I think I'm supposed to hit on you or something.
...that's a pretty avatar. Almost as pretty as your brea-, ah, dammit
I think I'm supposed to hit on you or something.
Actually, you're supposed to fail at even attempting to hit on her. It should just come across as really creepy and appear that you've never talked to a girl other than your mother in your life. Channel NateDawg and you'll be all set.
It's ok everyone, just go back to thinking I'm pudgy middle aged man on the interweb, although it will make my firsthand gripes about the women's bathrooms in Michigan Stadium awkward.
"Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?"
+1 to you.
I know we love being analytical and stuff, but attitude plays a huge part of individual play. Please see Morgan Trent's 2008 season.
I'm very happy to hear the team's attitude is much better this season.
mentally, the players need to be "all in", as they say. They need to believe in the coaches and the system. Mental attitude and confidence (comes through practice & repetition) are the bare essentials if Michigan is going to have a chance at a successful season. The only measurable here is wins. If the guys aren't all in mentally, it could be last year repeated.
And no, I've never attended a Tony Robbins seminar.
There is a year of familiarity with the offense and coaching staff, the talent is more suited for the offense, and those who didn't "buy in" last year are either gone or have changed their minds.
While attrition and the graduation of upperclassmen recruited by Carr has left the team thin in some positions, it has also removed those who may be resistant to leadership coming from underclassmen. For better or worse, I think a lot of the leadership this year will have to come from freshmen and sophs.
I think "All in for Michigan" is going to produce big dividends this year.
This team looks together and ready to go out there and prove to everybody how good Michigan is on September 5th.
