Tajh Boyd has committed to Clemson. As a result, Jimmy T decided to offer a committed QB prospect, Austin Boucher, a scholarship. I don't understand it. If Pryor is his "man" then why try and offer a QB this class? I understand the point of having a viable back-up but wouldn't an upperclassman be a better back-up at this point (since the system would not be terribly new to them) in comparison to a prospect that is going to Miami of Ohio?
I don't think all is well in Buck-Nut land and clearly Jimmy has been the purveyor of Snake Oil this week!

These coaches have a specific plan for their recruiting. I don't know what their depth chart looks like, because I don't want to go blind. With this situation, it's better to have one than none. You never know what the kid will turn into, or how he can help. OSU has one of the best classes this year, and they're probably pretty sure on who they're going to get, so they can just fill the class out with anyone that won't require too much extra work.
