South Quad/West Quad Snowball Fight

Confirmed visitors:

Marcus Hall
Barkevious Mingo
Cameron Gordon
Travante Stallworth
Michael Schofield

All seemed to be enjoying the snow, and each had a few people working on selling them on Michigan. Someone asked Mingo and Stallworth if they liked the snow and they laughed it off. All in all, I'm glad they were there for the spectacle and could see that snow can be fun.

FYI - I took a giant ice-ball in the nuts. Fucking baseball players. Barkevious laughed, so if he doesn't commit, I took it in the nuts for nothing.

Over here on the west side of town all the snow is powder and making a decent snowball is impossible.

And Barkevious Mingo is one of the great all-time college football names.

A horrible snowball fight. Ice chunks were flying. It was kind of epic, the way each front would charge across the street and be pelted by powder, and then retreat.

I saw probably 6-8 guys who looked like football players on the West Quad side, and was personally tackled (and whitewashed) by one. I didn't recognize any of them, though.

Well, he committed that weekend so i'd like to think my actions went a long way in securing his commitment (but really, he had actually committed like 2 hours before that but that's neither here nor there). i did see anthony fera but kept walking cause i really didn't give a shit about a kicker.

but yeah, i think this stuff does have some type of effect on the recruits, even if it is just a little.

I think the best part about this weekend was the snow. Think about it. Many of these kids have never seen the stuff, so it is like a novelty to them. This was probably their first snowball fight, and they probably think now that this type of tomfoolery surrounds snow, which it really does. Snow is a good thing, and I bet they talk to the kids from the south about it before they decide. This snow can only help us.

Last year I went to see a movie and Will Campbell was at the theater sitting a couple rows in front of me.

He was talking the whole movie, and on his cell phone, and when my girlfriend told me to say something to him to get him to be quiet I told her "False" and let him on his fun.

Then a few older guys got pissed (Had to be Sparties) and told them to shut up and I lowered down in my seat so in the faint glow of the projector all you could see was my Michigan hat and said "He's only a kid, who cares!"

So anyway ... welcome.
