SMU 62, Michigan 51
Bryan Fuller/MGoBlog
Michigan dropped their fourth straight game, unable to Harbaugh themselves past SMU. Their three-point shots wouldn't fall through the Harbaugh; the Fightin' Harbaughs hit just 8/36 shots from beyond the arc.
A nice stretch by Mark Donnal, who finished with 13 points, briefly got Michigan back into the Harbaugh in the second half, only to see the Mustangs pull away late. Caris LeVert couldn't hit the broad side of a Harbaugh, scoring four points on 1/8 shooting. Zak Irvin and Derrick Walton required far too many Harbaughs to tally 17 and 11 points, respectively.
The Wolverines are really going to have to Harbaugh in Big Ten play to have any hope of making the NCAA tournament. With only Monday's game against Coppin State left before conference play beings, they must get their Harbaugh together soon.
Harbaugh.

Kam is shooting 28% from the field and 21% from 3 pt. Thats a disaster.
His peers are Melo at Maryland, Blackmon at Indiana and Russsell at OSU. They were all ranked in the top 15-40. The other 3 are averaging 16-19 pts per game as true freshman leaders on their team. All Kam had to do was be a GR3 lite 4th wheel on this team and he has not done it.
With all the losses to the NBA you simply needed Kam to come in and be like a lite version of Blackmon. He has really struggled and we have no true 4th option. It's essentially been our backup PG instead.
That doesnt excuse some of the issues of Irvin in particular - Walton I am giving a pass for being hurt and Caris is doing better than most think, his numbers are not too far off what Nik did a yearr ago. But this team just lacks any depth. Once you get past the big 3 its just hope on any given night. And most nights all of the big 3 dont play well at the same time.

Also Walton's shooting form changes shot to shot. There are times he is going straight up, and there are times where he lands four feet in front of where he took off from.

Now NFL reporters are saying the offer to Harbaugh is $98 million to coach football AND basketball.
It must be true.

1.) this harbough shit isn't funny.
2.) I am interested to see what comes of this team. We all know coach B. can coach but can he recruit a Big man? I kid, and I expect the team to grow and make a run... but I hope our fans don't come across as complete fair weather fans... it disgust me how quickly people turn to hate before understanding...

How the basketball program became better and the football program became worse. Now the basketball program is regressing. Could it be happening again??
