Shirt Screwup Sale Comment Count

tshirt fail Okay, so we put up the Bo T-Shirt during the summer and a lot of people purchased it. Then they waited because Rich Robots was switching providers and printers and this didn't go very well. These people got shirts, but very late, and they were charged very early.

Then we got a note from the Bo foundation/organization/paramilitary threatening to sue the begeezus out of us so we had to take the shirt down. We're currently trying to work something out with them, but I'm told things aren't looking great on that front. (But Bo can have his own merlot, which is a little mindboggling.)

This meant a large number of people who had not received the shirt sat there waiting and never got one and only got a refund eventually.

This is Not Good, and we're sorry. In an attempt to make it up to you, we've got a three-pronged attack:

  1. Anyone who ended up waiting an unacceptable amount of time and did not get a shirt should have a refund. If you don't, please email me. This summer I'm going to implement a "subscription" option that will remove the ads for anyone who signs up; these people will get two-year freebies.
  2. MGoStore is having a "no, seriously, we actually do make and send out shirts" sale. Everything is 25% off until September 30th. The sale code: "MGoBlog Autumn".
  3. We're also implementing a contest: every week the best diary entry as chosen by yrs truly, will get their diary bumped to the front page and a shirt of their choice for free. The start of a week is defined as Saturday; the diary contest will run weekly during the season and monthly the rest of the year.

Now is the time to get your "Bow Down, Little Brother" shirt.

Although I haven't noticed an increase of very little men running around Ann Arbor, MGoShirt seems to pander specifically to men who wear size small, which I find a little strange. Will they have any "large" sized shirts in the future in a color other than white? Also they are a little slow on replying their emails...

Also is the "select a color" color option more of a maize or more of a blue? I want to know if I should wear my khaki cords or my jeans when I finally get my "select a color" colored T-shirt.

for anything.  (Just Google "Jonathan Lee Riches" and you'll see some crazy ass lawsuits).  Whether or not they would win is another question.  But until that question is answered, lawyers have to be paid.  I'm guessing that RichRobots is not exactly flush with extra lawyer cash so it is just easier to cease & desist making the T-shirt.

Regarding the Diary Post contest, this is going to lead to a rash of Diary postings each week.  And with the review process for Diaries being much less user friendly than MGoBoard, can this be moved to the Board?

Brian, you need a new shirt provider, ASAP. I ordered a shirt from richrobots in mid-July (not from mgostore, sorry), paid for it, and still have not received it. I've emailed them numerous times asking for an explanation, but I get no response. Bottom line, they run a pretty shady business if you ask me.

I wanted to get one of those "returning to glory since..." shirts for the ND game but couldn't find it in the store...I didn't get any reply when I emailed customer service either.  Is this just an old ad for a shirt that isn't made anymore, or am I missing it?

Yea I wanted a large maize shirt in any of the newer designs; Worst State Ever or In Rod We Trust for the Utah game (and at the very latest the Wisconsin game, but I didn't get any reply from "customer service" so I don't think I will be seeing one anytime before the Wisconsin game...

I'm glad I got my Bo shirt.  I feel like one of those kids in Africa that get sent the "Patriots 2008 Super Bowl Champions" shirts.  So how many people ended up getting these things?

i was wondering when richrobots was going to get some men's xl shirts in stock.  neither of the 'in rod we trust' shirts are available in non-twink size.  unfortunately, seems as if i am not the only one who has been waiting for a normal size shirt to be in stock.  oh, richrobots, please, i just want to give you my money.

You do know that "We are Scientists" is a band, and that the "i are scientists" slogan has been a "joke" / marketing thing for them for quite some time right?  I guess it's kind of lame that I even feel slightly slighted by this sort of thing as a fan of the band.
