I think that it's great that he's bringing this up before the super bowl. Hopefully other youngsters "from Pahokee" can learn from him, now that he's in the super bowl instead of on the corner.

I'd be careful with that. First off, it goes on some public record when you register for that. It probably will never be used against you, but you never know. Also, it's still illegal on the federal level. People in CA have been busted by the DEA because although what they are doing is legit in the eyes of the state, it is still breaking a federal law.

I'm not going to tell you not to, but to think about it. You should do what I do, tell your friend to get a card and have him buy it for you.

I wouldn't be buying 8ths, I would be selling 8ths, that's really all college freshman want to buy at a time. Plus a lot of people don't want a ton of weed chilling around, or drop too much coin at a time. I would buy it in much larger quantities.

That said, in LA I usually buy an 8th at a time. Just easier.

Black people don't do coke. Not be racist but I went to a predominantly black school (same city as Gabe Watson) and we only ever had tree at my school. All the coke heads and such were the rich white kids from Birmingham that I knew. Coke is an expensive drug.

You forgot a few nuggets of idiocy:

- only blacks do crack

- all meth users are white and poor

EDIT: and I almost missed the implication that blacks don't do coke because they are too poor. Bravo, this is like a fucking hat trick.

EDIT 2: in case there is any doubt at all (you never know here), I am berating this guy for making said generalizations. Carry on.

This is quite over the top. I understand that you are making absurd generalizations to show your disdain for (and highlight the stupidity of) the previous posters ideas/choice of language. Throwing this after the post makes it seem as though you believe drug use is perfectly random across all cultures. Recent studies (although not perfect) would show this to be false. I don't know what is more detrimental, ignorance or its hyper-correction.

You can't construct an argument I never made then tear it down. That doesn't work very well.

I pointed out the stupidity of saying "blacks don't do coke." I then added some other common drug stereotypes that are equally ridiculous. I never said or even came close to implying that drug use is random. Drug use is highly correlated to lower socioeconomic status, and to the extent a certain culture/race/whatever is correlated to a lower SES it will then have a weak correlation to drug use.
