RR offering another 2010 receiver??

According to Rivals it looks like Michigan just offered Kyle Prater a 6'1 WR. I would have thought with both Ricardo and Jeremy already committed we wouldn't be focusing much on taller receivers. Especially since we just got Je'Ron for this class. Any thoughts?

You have to think, what would happen if Jackson and/or Miller gets hurt or decommits? They can't be the only receivers you offer.

I didn't realize he would be a 5*. Can never go after enough of those. I'd like to see an Alabama or LSU with 4 or 5 of them next year.

"Because of his dominating performance at the combine, Prater has been named the Rivals.com Most Outstanding Performer. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound prospect couldn't be stopped in the one-on-ones and did well in the testing, drawing rave reviews from Rivals.com analyst Barry Every and the other analysts covering the event.

I think as we go forward you will see RR's offense evolve to incorporate more vertical threats. I had an extensive discussion with a Spartan fan today who tried to forward the idea that Rich didn't use bigger linemen or tall outside WRs at WVU. What he's assuming is that Rich didn't want those types and ignoring the idea that perhaps Rich just couldn't attract them there. He's used what's been available to him his entire career, thinking he won't here is illogical. We'll soon be an absolute yardage chewing machine, and the outside WRs will be a big part of that.

WE ARE GOING TO BE A MACHINE.

Agreed, I think that is actually a result of RR sticking around WVU for so long(contrary to what the msm likes to portray), most don't remember what he has done other places and can't imagine him without Pat White. My guess is we'll see a combination of his past offenses which should be deadly.

Or Forcier w/ his arm strength, speed, etc. Or Denard. The weapons are becoming more and more prevelent and with fits for the system and experience the ball will find its way into the right hands.

that RR is seeking to make at Michigan. Competition is one of the ingredients that has been lacking under the previous coach. I don't want to bash coach Carr, but the one deep talent at Michigan was fine but the team lacked the two and three deep talent that fostered great competition which makes the whole team better. the twos and the threes pushing the ones to perform better. He always says you may start Monday but not start on Saturday. Florida and USC both stock pile talent and tell everybody if they compete they will play.
