Maybe the rough "throw 'em in and see if they float" approach should be reevaluated...

"Give Shannon credit: After the Hurricanes' 2-3 start, they have won
four consecutive games, including that 24-17 comeback victory in
overtime this past Saturday at Virginia."
I know we lost to Toledo and all, but this is Shannon's 3rd? 4th year? And we're giving him credit for beating (in overtime) a team that lost 30-3 to Duke?
RR is also letting people that are capable of floating float. Not like he's tossing Barnum in to play LG instead of a converted DLineman.
Shannon's second year.
seems longer
That's what she said.
-1 for using in an ambigous situation where it looks like you're admitting to a small cock.
smaller cock
hmmm I thought about that....but then I thought, she must have ENJOYED said cock enough to think it bigger. EH?
Girls lie amirite?
yes, we all hope that they do a lot of laying down, braaaahhhhh awwww yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
My buddy always used to say "I've never heard any complaints"....then I thought, are you really going to do some humpin' only to hear the girl say "that was terrible"? nah,ur right.
No, she says "I've got to go [insert bullshit reason here]." Then she immediately calls her best friend and laughs at your inadequacies.
I'm gonna have to side with Chris on this one. If she said it seemed longer than it was, you've done your job. Perception is reality. It's not the size of you piece, it's how you use it.
And even if she hated it, you still got some stank on your hang-low. So you are the winner.
Could you please state specifically what lesson RR is to learn from Shannon? Like I said, I'm not very quick. Just spell it out for me.
actually win some games this year?
you think we would have won more games this year by not playing the freshmen? You know RR is going to yell at anyone that screws up, so that would be the only way to protect them.
While you are not the original author of this thread, maybe you agree or understand his point regarding Coach Shannon. Normally, when looking for a mentor one would seek out someone very accomplished in the desired goal. Here, Jay has defined the goal as "winning some games" or "winning some games this year" (assuming 'this year' may present a particular problem and that 'some' is not satisfied by 2.) Shannon remains an odd first choice in any case due to his lack of resume regarding prolific winning.
If you are looking for a coach to emulate regarding winning in general, I would suggest Pete Carroll or provided winning against the SEC is not required Jim Tressel may be a good back up. If winning in this particular season is the goal then I suggest Nick Saban, Joe Paterno, or Mike Leach. Thank you.
I fail.. I thought this post had something to do with RR learning something from the dude whose bust stands outside the EECS building (Claude Shannon - father of information theory and UM grad).
But Randy Shannon? Really?
