Per Rivals, Robinson and Witty announced they're going to Michigan.
Mason NEEDS this, Pistons, after all you've put him through
Yep. Huge pickup by Rich Rod. The need for another QB in this class cannot be underestimated.
**Said like a giddy schoolgirl**
is still dangling this rumor about a CB flipping for us today which I am 99% sure is Darius Winston.
*that* would be amazing.
this is good news too. if Stokes lands that will put us above 50% for guys that announced for us today, which you can't ever really complain about on signing day.
Not Winston, a Syracuse verbal commit is the rumor...
I had figured when they said someone that had listed interest in Michigan before, talked about visiting and had a previous relationship with someone from the coaching staff that it had to be Winston.
Well everybody but Dequinta Jones, Cameron Gordon, and Craig Roh have sent in their LOI. This at least means we probably won't be surprised by any random decommits.
I am thinking Dale Peterman.
that would be solid addition to long term depth of the secondary.
I'm a fan of Peterman. If nothing else, he's a very solid tackler. He doesn't have great speed, but he's a hard-nosed run supporter and good at bringing down people in the open field.
Robinson's signing has more than likely fixed UM's depth problem at QB. I agree with Jay that the importance of this signing cannot be overstated.
I fully expect Forcier to be the starter this year, but Robinson can give him competition and would be a great change of pace QB, too. And, of course, insurance for the possibility of Forcier getting injured.
Most of all, though, I don't want to ever, ever see Nick Sheridan take another snap for UM again.
Sheridan has one great game to put in his VCR and show his children and grandchildren and should be on the fast track to grad assistant now.
But UM is in deep trouble next year if Sheridan has to play again. Hopefully, Robinson's committment has made this a moot point.
The only problem is that, like Forcier, his height is more like that of Chase Daniel than Pat White. But Chase is a pretty good upside.
When it comes to Rodriguez's offense, I don't think height is very important. I think Robinson will eventually end up at a position other than QB, but he's good insurance right now at QB, and I think he'll be an impact player for us somewhere.
"I've known since Sunday night, maybe Monday morning, but Adrian and I wanted to do it like this," added Robinson, a four-star quarterback. "It was the offense, the coaches – people say I could be the next Pat White and I wanted to play for the coach who coached Pat White."
Nice to hear what recruits actually say about wanting to play for RR.
