never heard of it

We didn't listen!

The University of Michigan football program will open the 2014 season with a match-up against Appalachian State University on Aug. 30 at Michigan Stadium. This will be the second [sic] meeting between the Wolverines and Mountaineers at Michigan Stadium.

Sorry about that error in the second sentence above. Michigan has never played Appalachian State.

If you'll excuse me, I feel like having a seizure.

I am incapable of finding it myself, but if anyone can locate a .gif of Dustin Hoffman freaking out in Rain Man while screaming the dialogue above and simultaneously hitting himself, greatly appreciated. And, I think, relevant to ALL our interests on this day of days.

Great. The run up to that game will be really fun, with the Fuck you Johnny Sears and the Edwards running free and the Crable no playing on an endless loop.

Can anyone devise a rational explanation of how this happened?

Now I won't be able to turn on sports radio or ESPN for pretty much all of August 2014. And if by some miracle we should lose, everyone should be fired.

I don't see why people are so against this. M will (hopefully) be very good with a RS Senior Devin Gardner at QB and will win big. And unlike any of the other 1-AA teams, this game will get HUGE publicity.

Its a win-win for MI. They get to play a bad team, but still get credit and publicity for winning.

Thanks Dave Brandon.

I now get to look forward to reliving "The Horror" throughout Summer, 2014 in preparation for this game. My shrink will be naming his next boat Brandon's Choice by the time he's done.
