Rich Rodriguez held an in home visit with Travante Stallworth and his family today. It looks like this visit was well worth it for Michigan, and well timed. Travante will be visiting South Carolina this weekend. I was talking to him, and I'm pretty sure I broke my phone, so once I get that fixed I will have some quotes for you. Travante told me, before I ruined it, that the visit went really well, as expected. I'll have more within the next couple hours.
Rich Rodriguez has left the Stallworth house
Thanks TomVH. You're info is priceless. Good job.
Wrong. Tom is info, and he is priceless.
I love Travante, he's easily my favorite recruit.
The aircraft flying Rich Rod around is on it's way to Greenville/Spartanburg, SC right now. Sam Montgomery is getting a visit as well it appears.
How do you know where the plain is traveling? That is kinda crazy
Flightaware.com. Just type in the tail # of the aircraft. It's N64DC. I'm a flight tracking dork I guess since I'm a pilot for NetJets. I have flown major D-I coaches around on our jets for recruiting trips. Unfortunately, Michigan doesn't use NetJets.
I haven't figured out the tail # yet though for the aircraft of the assistant coaches that came down to Florida.
How in the world did you get the number in the first place?
I viewed all the flights that departed Ann Arbor and Willow Run within the past couple of days. I found it under Ann Arbor departures. It's all public knowledge. Lots of info at flightware if you know what you are looking for.
Yeah. That's pretty amazing. So you just looked at the destination and figured out it was RR's plane?
Exactly. A King Air (BE-20) turboprop flying to Louisiana was pretty much a dead give away.
Ok creep, what am I wearing?
Nothing. (At least in my dreams.)
TheVictors97 u just made my 10hr wrk day worth it. I'm still laughing at how you know this
Is RR taking part in CIA renditions or is he recruiting players. I guess we will find out.
Do you think the assistants plane is N5265P ? I don't know what kind of plane that is. I guess I could continue, and look that up as well, but it looks like that its possible.
Doubt it. Good catch though. That's a single engine Mooney which is very small. I did some of my flight training in one of those back in college. Plus it landed in New Smyrna Beach and I don't think there are really any prospects over there. I'm betting they took the airlines.

Anyway, this is awesome. I'm glad flight tracking is back.
You are my hero.
Did you notice in the story that TomVH was working the story so hard that he broke his phone? Thats way to take one for the team. *hands him the MgoBlog's gameball*
Hope we can get his services at Michigan to play QB, CB or WR.
Great info, and equally great posts about flight tracker, etc.
But I gotta tell ya... I'm VERY WORRIED. TomVH without a phone is like Chad Henne with a bum shoulder. Our on-field success HINGES on getting Tom's phone back in action ASAP!
TomVH is the new crack.
If you look at rich rods flight stops one was in monroe,la which is where mingo is from. Coincidence?
going to see DeQuinta Jones too
Per Scout, RR visited DeQuinta Jones yesterday. Maybe Mingo too?? He's making three in-home visits today, so maybe it wasn't just D.Jones yesterday. Can you guys figure out the first visit today? In reverse order it would be Montgomery, Stallworth, and....?
and figure out which Louisiana recruits hometown is closest to Leesville, LA, cuz that is where his last flight left from.
Leesville is Stallworth's hometown. Looks like Mingo, Jones, Stallworth, and Montgomery so far. Do you think he has Greg Robinson with him? I think that may be likely which is why most of the visits are on the D side of the ball.
i can't be sure. maybe TomVH can ask one of the recruits who all visited him :)
I'm asking about the Shreveport one. Haven't figured that yet. This FlightAware is pretty cool stuff...thanks Victors97 :).
Bennie Logan may have been visited somewhere in there as well.
Everyone probably already knows this, but I think it went like this:
Monroe, LA - Barkevious
Drive to Batrop from Monroe - DeQuinta Jones
Fly to Shreveport, Drive to Coushatta - Bennie Logan
Fly to Leesville - Travonte Stallworth
Fly to Greenville/Spartanburg - Sam Montgomery
What next? Hopefully Deerfieild Beach.
I am pretty sure I saw a flight heading to Dearfield Beach today...
I Think Not!
Does Michigan have private helicopters? It would be pretty badass if Rodriguez always met recruits in an open field and took a helicopter to get there everytime.
RichRod and Position coaches just jump on Barwis' back, and he leaps from one locale to another.
This is fucking true.
with my youngest son.
I saw the thread title and laughed. Thanks Tom.
Signing Day is two weeks from today. Let's hope RR has a strong finish in store for us. Go Blue!!!!
I know he mentioned that he will get the audition at QB, but what are his chances of actually playing? He had some pretty sick stats in HS at QB... time to use the obligatory "Pat White" comparison?
it must suck being a 40 - 50 year old dude (or 130 like JoePa)
chasing 17 year olds around the country.
at least he gets to travel?
The compensation makes it well worth it.
Michfan1997 - you just made my day - awesome thread. Not only did I learn something, it's completely entertaining.
Any chance they hit up Quinton Washington while they're in South Carolina?
flight tracking is a beautiful thing.
Lowjack for the friendly skies. It takes stalking to a whole other level.
