Re: Rich Robots/MGoStore Comment Count

Brian

I'm sorry to have to bring you this news if you've ordered shirts from MGoStore and haven't gotten them, but: I'm getting a lot of complaints that people have been charged and shirts have not been received. Multiple contact attempts have not been successful.

So:

  1. If this has happened to you, please let me know and we'll try to fix things.
  2. I will be switching t-shirt providers to an established company in January.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

I just visited the store... and... Whatever happened to the "In Rod We Trust" shirts??? I didn't see them, and I reallllly want one... It's important that the gospel of RichRod be spread now, more than ever before, so if they've been taken out of the rotation, is there any way they can be put back in?

Should NOT be true.

There is usually a one-time charge to load each unique design digitally. After that, you can order one or many T-shirts at the same cost.

Old technology used to require (that sounds redundant) that you spend lots of time to set up a new order.

Current technology uses the new fangled computer thingy and can print different T-shirts with different designs, different sizes, etc. one after another.

Will - Just talked to my son in Atlanta, he has still not received the shirt yet my credit card bill has been charged and I've paid it. Unhappy since this is for his birthday.

Can we get it to him? If not, can your refund my card please?

Please let me know which option we're taking.

Thanks,

Yup, I sure hope that all the Flame Wars (and this post wasn't even controversial -- except to the folks at RichRobots) are not ever converted into physical action against anyone.

But, it is always better to be safe than sorry (now that is quite a cliche).

Jim, this sounds like RichRobots is truly incompetent or truly trying to simply cheat people.

You can go on-line to a dozen different sites, order a T-shirt with your unique design, and have it delivered in less than 1 week!

You may want to e-mail your State Attorney General and send a copy to RichRobots.

I did this with AT&T after fighting with them for months over an incorrect bill. Within 2 weeks (of my snail mail in this case) I received a $250 check from AT&T

I ordered a shirt back in July (the Grand Rapids shirt, not Mgostore, but...). Initially they said it was out of stock and that I'd receive it in a few weeks. I said ok. My credit card was charged at this point. So a month later, I emailed them because I had not received my shirt...no answer. Continued to email them...no answer. Finally, in early October, I wrote a more nasty email, and this time it went through. They said my previous emails went as spam, I say yeah right. So anyways, after a few pleasant reminders, they finally refunded me in late October and also said that they'd send me my shirt complementary. Still haven't received a shirt of course, although I do have a usps tracking number...which says that it hasn't been sent. I don't think they actually make shirts. They just scam people. Bottom line, never ever deal with richrobots, but if you did order a shirt, you should be able to get your money back in time.

I contacted Citi and explained the whole mess of not getting my items and blah blah blah aaaaannndddd..... : "We have issued a conditional credit to
your account and have forwarded the details of your dispute
to the merchant. We will notify you of their response
within 65 days."

65 days...good luck.

Also, A friend of mine's cousin runs a company called retro duck that allows you to design your own shirts. A group of us did it on deployment and received the shirts within a couple of weeks.

Just a thought for any enterprising folks out there with artistic ability.

Brian, you're probably getting loads of suggestions for vendors, but Threadless rocks. They may be looking for additional revenue streams (hard to tell in this economy) and are fairly close by in Chicago with physical storefronts, as well. Just a thought.
