Purdue Open Thread

I can't believe I went out of my way to go to a bar to watch the second half today.  The defense is regressing.  There is no silver lining in this one.  I mean, 522 yards yielded to a putrid offense?  Seriously?  The kids on D are obviously not on the same page with the coaches.  Shafer and Gibson are flopping BIG time.  If someone gets to the second level against this D, there is a very good chance that it's going to be a big gain.  Fucking bullshit, I am so fed up with this porous defense!!!  Shafer's gotta go.  Get me someone that can coach up a defense.  We could lose solid recruits because of shit like this.

It seems like the offense and special teams are progressing though.  I think?  I watched Florida, Texas and Texas Tech today and I was just in la-la land dreaming, hoping that my Wolverines would look like that one day.  I LOVE the spread!  When it's clicking, it is SO lethal.  But Threet is not the answer.  Sorry, too many of these 9 for 21 days.  He's managing games better but he's still very inaccurate.  Teams just don't respect his arm or running skills.

Anyway, Go Blue!  The D's gotta get better much, much better next year.  The first step is canning Shafer. 

Well shit. I was hoping this would be on TV, since all the other Big Ten games have been on down here. I guess it's not, just because it's a 12 start and not a 3:30...
