Probably Unnecessary Forcier Transfer Update Comment Count

Brian

In case the Forcier Transfer tweet going all Keyser Soze five minutes after it was posted…

…was not indication enough, Tom got in touch with Tate's dad, who laughed the rumors off:

Mike Forcier, Tate's dad, laughed at the transfer rumors. Said they aren't true, and he wouldn't support it anyways.

This tweet is still up.

Melanie Collins, meanwhile, has mastered the art of 21st century apologizing by admitting nothing, claiming her righteousness, and blathering insane nonsense:

Twitter is an outlet to post thoughts, provoke conversation & share info I'm hearing. I never once said there was any truth to Forcier rumor

No truth, just from a "very reliable source." This flies if your bio says you're a pathological liar. Collins's does not, unfortunately. Wait a minute… AH-HA! CAUGHT YOU RED HANDED, I DID.

I probably shouldn't have posted anything on a rumor that seemed specious enough to cloak it in the skepticism/fatalism I did, but I figured since she was and is a Big Ten Network "personality" that it was worth posting. Sorry about that. On a side note: message board folk should drop it since the chatter has degenerated into "I would do her so hard and then put her in an apron so she can make me a sandwich which is all women are good for help me I've never touched one." Don't post anything your mother doesn't want to read. Or my mother.

And Kelvin Grady has the last word:

NEVER A DULL MOMENT #period

I really don't like her at all.  Her idioticy makes her unattractive in my eyes.

I think the reasonable thing to do, was for her to apologize for the remark.  Yet she's so ridiculously smug and stubborn and refuses to do so.  She may think it's just twitter but because of her affiliation with the Big Ten Network, I think people thought she might have a real source and some real insight.  I'm sorry, but as a journalist or whatever hack she's supposed to be, because of her position, she can't be posting unconfirmed rumors that a team's starting QB from the previous year is transferring.  That's shoddy journalism.

My mom's actually pretty cool, and would probably high five me if I were to "bone (Melanie Collins) so hard and put her in an apron." So there's that. I just said I thought she was quite the attractive lass. And, also, although the pics Brian posted made it seem damn positive she has uhh, enhancements, if you look at the videos of Ms. Collins, this may be up for debate. Damn photographers and their tricks.

Regardless, back to worrying about how bad our secondary is going to get lit up and whether we can cut down on turnovers on offense.

but if she walked into this thread right this instant and said she needed her turds polished every last one of you would be rushing to her on your knees, begging to be the one.

False.  I really don't find her that attractive.

She's just another blonde bimbo that bought her tits, with a face that's average at best, even with makeup.

Seriously.  She looks like she's on her way to having full-on jowels at age 40.  And when they arrive, good luck to her finding a job, since she obviously isn't a very smart cookie.

Anyhow.  if she's what people consider hot, people need to evalute their female aesthetic sensibilities.

(P.S. - Seriously.  I mean like Richard Nixon jowels.  Take a second look at her pics Brian posted and  jowel - whoops, *yall will* - see what I mean.)

I'd fire her. But not for the original Tweet. I mean if MICH and Bammer aint playing, we dont want to fire Brain, right?

But, those ensuing Tweets tells me she lacks an understanding of the job at hand. Claiming that I did not 'report' anything is ludricrous and as others have pointed out her defense of it being on Twitter is just so lame.

Anyway, she's killed her accountability and credibility. I'd have a hard time keeping her employed. There is eye candy everywhere in Chicago. Give some other chickee a shot.

But, the goodt news is that hottie sideline reporters NEVER break legit stories like this. Maybe they can clue us in on an injury during a game, but they are not seasoned reporters with a legit sourcing network built up. Considering everything I have learned about MICH the last 4 years I have learned here or at the Rivals/Scouts site well before the mainstream media gets into it is a clue that she has NO source or her source is inconsequential and full of it as well.

Seriously, she's going to have this first over like everyone else? Not a fucking chance.

Is it possible that her tweet was correct? Unless we've heard directly from Tate himself (not his dad), isn't it at least possible that Tate did in fact put in for his transfer paperwork and is mulling his options before making a final decision and that somewhere along the way those actions came to Hotty McHotHot's source's attention? It's not really like that's totally implausible. Didn't Turner transfer before he informed his family?

In short, I guess I'm just saying that unless we've heard contrary from Tate himself or somebody in the AD, Hotty McHotHot quite possibly reported the truth.

The problem is that she's already had outsized benefit from her misinformation.  As dahblue said, we won't forget her

This is a problem.  In today's world, the notoriety she gained more than offsets any stern warning from BTN or M.  The neanderthal-ic ridicule we attempt to aim at her from this site can be seen as the Soup-like equivalent of Kardashian or P. Hilton bashing - a necessary societal service rightly striking down the fraudulent

Take a sip if:

  1. There is a mis-tackle
  2. Michigan defenders scream at each other
  3. Any time TV mentions the lack of experience in the Secondary
  4. TV shows disappointed Michigan fans wearing facepaint
  5. TV shows Rich Rod cussing
  6. There is a substitution in the Secondary
  7. Game Day Decision

Take a shot if:

  1. Opposing receiver catches a ball with no defender within 10 yards of him
  2. 50 or more yard passing or rushing TD
  3. 4 or more mis-tackles on a single play
  4. Michigan Defenders yell at each other and have to be broken up by another team mate
  5. Rich Rod throws his clipboard
  6. TV cameras show children crying
  7. Stadium is half-empty at half time
  8. TV Commentators laugh at Michigan
  9. Anyone else in Michigan’s Secondary gets injured (Nooo  Please Nooo)
  10. Game Day Decision

Drink the entire bottle if:

  1. Denard Robinson ends up playing in the secondary
  2. More than one person in the Secondary gets injured
  3. Game Day Decision

This appeared on her personal Twitter account, not BTN. You know the same forum in which she "reported" having to go with Old Spice 'cause she ran out of her regular body wash.  Other sportscaster I follow, regularly post rumours that never pan out.

As far as I'm concerned anyone expecting serious journalism in less than 140 characters has some issues they should probably work out with a professional.

Plus if you look at who she follows you will realize her amazing taste in music.

And yes, I am now following her.
