rundown of Michigan's riser
needs moar usage
so much for that
This list is completely arbitrary and not a genuine analysis of the relative merits of state fossils.
will be michigan's highest pick in a while
money has to go somewhere
I am only motivated by people who have no opinion about me.
the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
but I thought that draft was supposed to be incredibly loaded?
If you're gonna go please be in the first round.
another delightful side effect of a 14 team conference
thoughtful piece from Jacobi on middle finger lady
there were 3 other guys on the ice with their thumbs up their asses, as usual.
Harvard: The MICHIGAN of the East
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Ha . . . but I take issue with William Henry Harrison. He was the Antonio Bass of presidents - full of promise (he ran one of the greatest campaigns ever), but his career was sadly cut short.
Who knows if he was bad at being president? 32 days ain't much. Now, if you're saying that his job was to wear a damn jacket to his inauguration parade, then yeah, he's even worse than Isiah...
Road Games is another blog
There is no scientific evidence to support a connection between being cold and an increased susceptibility to respiratory tract infection. That is an urban legend propogated by mothers everywhere and Ohio University partisans hoping to defame one of Mother Miami's most favorite sons. Do you also believe that a pile of rags left in the corner will spontaneously create rats and mice, that leaches can draw out ill humors, and the jews caused the Black Death?
Sir, your Victorian views reflect poorly on MICHIGAN MEN everywhere especially considering your libelous charges fall on the very weekend Miami University is celebrating 200 years of giving the unfortunate young men and women of Ohio a public school alternative to OSU.
Give it to Wheatley!
There is research suggesting a possible effect on immune response due to exposure as well as research implying no such link. There are certainly physical effects to being in cold temperatures long before the onset of hypothermia.
Blood letting, on the other hand, is a widely recognized treatment for certain conditions. In general, you don't want to be bitten by a leech (not "leach"), but they can (and are) used medically.
Also, Van Buren 4eva!!1!
God bless every single one of your cotton pickin' Maize and Blue hearts
On the night Bo died he visited me in a alcohol induced dream and told me 3 things.
1. Ryan Mallett and Steven Threet were not real MICHIGAN MEN.
2. RR would become the Michigan coach, run off Justin Boren, and have a secret meeting about the defense with the OC and safety coach without inviting the DC.
3. He tasked me with roaming the internet defending all fellow Miami University alumni. My schedule has cleared up considerably now that I no longer have to defend Ben Roethlisberger from the charge of being a 'game manager.' So, I am hear to defend the honor of William Henry Harrison. Yes, he had the shortest Presidential term in US history but that was not his fault. He died because he was not immune to viruses (the length of his innagural speech had nothing to do with it.) Do we blame JFK because he was not immune to bullets slamming into his head? No. Did we blame Boromir because he was not immune to 87 orc arrows in his chest? Well, a little but that's beside the point. WHH was going to do some really great things. If you wish to select a truly bad President historians would suggest James Buchanon.
Good day to you sir!
Not to be a dick and totally derail your point, but William Henry Harrison went to Hampden-Sydney and Penn. His grandson Benjamen was, however, a Miami alum.
I thought Brownie did a hell of a job.
Denard's 2010 was spent redefining what one man can do.
He's probably not even the worst ref in the CCHA. (That dubious honor belongs to Aaron, who's just as likely to call a penalty on the guy who got tripped as the one who tripped him.)
Harrison has to take a lot the blame for Tyler's terrible presidency, no?
the way Brian smoothly sidesteps any serious political discussion by putting up WHH as a 'worst POTUS ever.' you know, instead of a (THE) more recent possibility.
Very true. I feared a lengthy argument on the (de-)merits of Chester A. Arthur.
Jimmy Carter sucked ass.
Just because he's an eyeline wearing, steroid injecting freak, doesn't mean he's a bad comedian. Heck man, VEGAS pays him A LOT OF money and if he sucked, they wouldn't be wasting their dollars on him.
If Gene Simmons digs him, so should you. Btw, Brian, you sorta resemble Gene Simmons a bit.
Words of wisdom from Charlie Sheen: "I don't pay women for sex. I pay them to leave."
If I were to have guessed that one frequenter of this site actually liked Carrot Top you would have been my first guess.
No question, Jim.
Carrot Top is awful.I can't believe he is actually a comedian. Props to him for getting in that good of shape, but he is not funny.
If you gave Carrot top "props" on purpose, that is funnier than anything carrot top has ever done.
It was sarcasm and pun (b/c he is a prop comic). Oh well...
...Wow, I guess I'm definitely in the minority here. I usually go see comedians in concert. I've seen quite a few. I laughed harder at Carrot Top than the vast majority of the others I went to... maybe I was just in the mood to laugh that night, who knows. I'm not saying he's in the Chris Rock echelon, but I don't think he's *that* far out of that top tier.
hahahah LOVE the Nickelback addition.
Also must have taken some willpower to place harrison in the mix over our most recently retired 'decider'
Yes, making fun of Nickelback is lots of fun.
Surely James Buchanan has to be in consideration here. His primary contribution to the presidency was to not intervene when the Southern states started seceding and grabbing control of federal arsenals. All poor WHH did was get pneumonia.
No pic of Matt Millen or Dr. Phil?
No Ed Hightower?

I've tried and tried to look past MGoBlog's constant anti-Whig agenda, but I can't any longer. I read this blog for UM sports news, not to have someone's politics rammed down my throat. Consider this my goodbye.
Are you in Law School at Michigan too?
I was sitting in the first row directly behind the OSU bench during the game (the fact that I bought the tickets online in November for $12 apiece is a separate issue).
Several other arguments made by Markell seem to indicate that he does not fully understand the NCAA's rules -- for instance, when he complained to Langseth that a penalty was not called on the play where the U of M player (Caporusso, I believe) caught and released teh puck in the offensive zone (see Rule 6, Section 19a for an explanation that the only penalty call available is on either picking the puck up off the ice or throwing it out of bounds).
However, he and the rest of the arena seemed to understand the "kick rule" better than Langseth et al.
"A goal shall not be allowed if the puck has been kicked or directed into the goal off of an attacking player's skate. When in doubt the goal shall be disallowed."
After the replay of the "goal" was played in the arena, Markell, the OSU bench, and all the OSU fans within 5 rows of my seat acknowledged that it likely would be waived off. The reaction within the arena afterwards was as much of shock as celebration.
