time to take this coaching staff off the Jesus pedestal. Those last few plays in regulation for us cement that.

on in the 1st quarter that my view of Brady has shifted to "not sure". After tonight, my view has completely changed to "not the guy". That was a pathetic coaching job.

I don't see prominence in our future with this staff - OL is horrible, D makes catastrophic mistakes and game management is poor.

Year 3 is a yardstick with programs and we don't measure up.

What exactly is Funk's background?  Does he have an actual record of success anywhere meaningful?

I'm sorry, he's not getting it done.  We act like we are the only team that has players graduate.  Every team has young players they have to deal with.  We are showing nothing in the way of improvement.  It's not like progress is just around the corner.  It ain't coming.

I sat in that shit stadium for that PATHETIC display by our coaches.  The last 3 minutes of regulation and ALL of overtime was the absolute WORST play calling I have EVER seen.

27 yards on 27 carries = you can't run the football.  Hey Borgess - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is idiocy  - you MORON.

During this time span PSU played man coverage on our wideouts and gave them 10 -12 yards every fucking play.  THROW THE FUCKING FOOTBALL - you MORON.

I have never been this disgusted at a Michigan game ... and i've been going for over 50 years!

You know what I saw tonight? A fucking Buffalo Wild Wings commercial where the damn hot bartender kept messing the game up. Don't blame anybody but the patrons that didn't want to go home.

The O-line at the end of the game was Schofield, Burzynski, Glasgow, Kalis, and Magnuson. That's two walk-ons and two RS Frosh. They played their hearts out without their Leader on the line, and had Borges not gone all Lizard Brain on us, we'd have won that game.

We had 149 yards rushing to Penn State's 85, so they must really suck by your logic. I get it, they didn't open up any holes for Toussaint, but who's responsible for that? Perhaps the guy who called 27 runs for Toussaint?

Those rushing yards came overwhelmingly on passing plays. The guy who is responsible for the OL executing is the OL coach. The guy responsible for putting the OL in positions to execute is Borges. If the OL can't execute any kind of run play there isn't much Borges can do.

They deserved to lose to App State; they had no business losing this game.  Brady Hoke Dumb Punt of the Week Award.  Defensive Collapse of the Week Award for letting them go the length of the field in 23 seconds.  Lloydball Conservatism of the Week with no attempt to get a first down in OT.  And Choke of the Week for missing a 33 goddamn yard FG.

We lost this game as a team. Led by the coaches and some of the worst playcalling I have seen in a loooong time. Defense came up with some stops but allowed PSU to march down the field in 23 seconds to tie it up. Special teams had several different chances to win the game and failed.

What a choke job by the coaches.  Seemed like it was run for no gain every play of overtime.  way to play not to lose; which of course leads ro a loss.  Total failure by the coaches.  So pissed right now.

The real issue was the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter.  We had a chance to go up 10 and finish the game.  All we needed was to get 5 more yards.

So what do we do?  Run it up the middle twice after having no success doing that all night, and then have a five yard delay of game penalty to end any chance of a field goal.

5 yards.  The coaches really don't trust Devin Gardner.  But without even a shadow of a running game, they don't have that luxury.

We got at least five chances to seal the win. The probability of us did not get any of them is less than 1%. When you miss a 33 yard, game-winning FG, you just won't win the game.

Michigan deserved to lose tonight. Also I am convinced that Michigan will never -- never -- be a feared, dominant team under Hoke. That call on 4th and inches in overtime told me all that I need to know about his philosophy. In fact, he oftentimes looks clueless on the sidelines and he sounded clueless during his halftime interview. And we spend way to much time wallowing "Michigan tradition" instead of making a name for ourselves in the here and now. Handing out all these honor jerseys and the like. Screw all that. Go out there and knock people on their butts. That what's matters. If I want to look at old 98, I'll grab a history book
Yeah, I'm bitter.

The coaches, the players, the QB, the defense, the FG kicker, the o-line, and the defensive secondary all combined to lose this one guys.  A total team loss, that Gibbons should have and could have prevented and our o-line inability to block on FG attempts and on running plays continues to show.  We still do not have the elite talent level we need to be a team that challenges for the B1G title each and every year.  One look at the o-line and d-line should tell you that.

We are a seriously deficient team, in every facet. The Hoke staff honeymoon is completely over (if it wasn't already), and they are deserving of scrutiny on the level of what late-era Carr and RR received. Sugar Bowl blah blah blah. We have clearly gotten worse in each year of his tenure. Might turn out to be the right guy, but there are many many coaches who would have come in and done better to this point with the same play doh. We are embarassingly bad at some basic aspects of the game that teams like Akron, Buffalo, Towson et al. have no problems with.
