and having the same conflict. But honestly, I expect nothing but the best from the crowd in Ann Arbor for the AF fans. Yes, I am going, and I plan on wearing a UM tshirt under my AFA jersey.

Honestly though, next season...I really hope UM has all their stuff together early in the season, due to the first game against Bama. This won't bode well for the Falcons, but if UM does well in their OOC schedule, they'll really have earned it. That's a tough run with the Tide, Falcons and the Irish.

welcome. Soon the board will be overcome by AF Michigan fans. Speaking of AF, I went past a C130 a couple months ago with a painting on one of the prop blades. It had a picture of Brutus and it said "RIP Jim Tressel 2001-2011". I wasn't sure how to react to this, and I couldn't grab a picture since it was on the flightline and naturally I didn't have my phone on me. Anyway, that's my "cool story bro" story for today. GO BLUE!!

than the last game I went to (Purdue). 7NA was only played 4 times to the best of my recollection. The lack of video was tough to deal with in the first half but luckily the scoreboard screens were restored in time to view three Dramatic Chipmunk clips in a row, listen to Sexy Sax Man, and watch the dog with the body of a Pop-Tart sail across the scoreboards.

It was an odd feeling, as a participant in the discussion and ongoing memery at this site and others, seeing these clips unleashed on an audience of 114,841. The "Beat Ohio" chants in the 4th quarter got very intense and the stadium as a whole was louder than it was at homecoming. The Husker band had some very long-winded arrangements prepared to get their fans going but the MMB frequently played over them and the Michigan fans/miked band would drown out their fans/unmiked band. Overall there were not enough Husker fans in the stadium to make a huge difference in home-stadium noise.

The student section did a better job of arriving on time for the game but the tops of the sections were empty when the sound (video was down) of the Lloyd Carr tribute was playing before the game. I liked how the video was replayed in a 3rd quarter break, complete with a live video feed to Carr and his wife in their luxury box.

Our special teams are special again.

Heh, some Nebraska fan was talking shit about how in Nebraska they sell out all the games but pointed at the student sections and said not here. I explained to him that those were the student sections, and the fact the students didn't show up means they can't tell the difference between Nebraska and Eastern Michigan. He wasn't too thrilled with that.

Halftime is a matter of preference. I thought the half time show was easily much better than the band just playing songs on the field that can be difficult to hear where you are sitting. I believe that the students loved it and was quite entertaining. Though this is all with the caveat that you have seen the videos before. Though it makes you wonder what the band would have done had the scoreboards not been fixed in time...

I kept looking over to see if they were rocking to it, and they seemed to just to be standing there.

I didn't mind, because something that plays to the students is cool with me...but I couldn't tell if it was too hip for the blue hairs while simultaneously played out to the students. It did bounce from the funny to downright weird.
Could there have been a worse day with all the video presentations for the boards to go down?

Wait what? That was by far the best halftime show I've ever seen. Not one, not two, but THREE Gregory Brothers songs? Plus trolololololo? It was epic, absolutely epic. I've always wanted the marching band to play the bed intruder song. All those internet memes...it was so great. How can you look at that halftime show and not say, "Holy shit, this is awesome!!!!"???
