It was a blowout until it wasn't, and Mark Dantonio couldn't decide whether he was trying to win this game. Pick a lane, Mark, or get run over. Nevertheless, Paul Bunyan's ugly mug returns to Ann Arbor for the first time in a while.

Muppets? MUPPETS.

And of course, you can't have one without the other.

Exactly. I'd rather them leave with their heads high because we got their best and won than having them quit and we know nothing about ourselves. But Overall this game was demoralizing for them, it's still their 6th straight loss and they didn't have enough firepower to beat us at home even when we had some sloppy play and bad penalties that really hurt us.

(something like that - was nervous too, till a coupla turning points -- one in the first quarter, when the defense starting clicking, then JD, then in the fourth when we stopped that drive right at the goal line... each time, I knew -- for a while at least -- that we had it.)

Felt we'd win, but it'd be rough going at times. That they were gonna bring it, & we'd be a little caught off guard.

I don't care about the final score, this win means a ton. State played a tough fought game as they always do. Proud of this team for overcoming so many years of dominance.

Ok - I give up.  You're right.  My comment was dumb and posted without thought.  

[Edit - Never mind.  You can't advance an on-sides kick. They needed Spartan Bob to not start the clock when they recovered it.]  

My problem is that I was trying to construct a logical framework to explain an illogical decision that blew-up in their face. 

So, yeah - not my best moment.  But, whatever, State is in the W column.

Was unsatisfying to watch but it ended with a "W." The team is undefeated, ranks #2 nationally, and is on track for the playoffs. I'm enjoying the muppets and looking forward to the Maryland game.

Ok maybe not totally. 

But goes a long ways... both against last year vs. sparty, and also that 2013 vs. osu...

...poetic justice, whatever.
