Y.E. Yang became the first Asian-born golfer to win a major, and this has to be one of the greatest finishes in the history of the game. While I feel for Tiger, it is hard to say that Yang didn't win this tourney (his 3-utility approach on 18 is the thing of legends).
This list is completely arbitrary and not a genuine analysis of the relative merits of state fossils.


Both had their chances, and Yang capitalized. Tiger had six or seven putts that he missed by two inches or less, so it's not like he was playing terrible golf. Congrats to Yang. As the announcers were saying, it was only a matter of time before the Asian golf community had a hero to look up to, and I think this qualifies.
