Something I've noticed about Palin similar to what you are talking about is how she is Pro-Choice, yet also pro-capital punishment. Pro-Life, but anti- universal children's healthcare and more spending on education of all levels. Who care's about the kid's who are already born, they can fend for themselves or suffer the consequences of their parents' missteps, we only care for the unborn. The Christian Right is highly contradictory and I wonder why Christians are so gung-ho Republican anyway. Jesus would most certainly not be a Republican (and most likely not a Dem either) today.
I find it funny/infuriating when my church brings people to speak to the congregation about the hot topics in politics...I didn't come to mass to hear political agenda dude, sit down. It's ridiculous. How is it okay to cherry pick what Christian values matter more than others? That's what frustrates me about the Christian Right's stances on certain things. Start a Christian populist movement or don't vote based on your religious views at all. Not that this is all directed towards Palin specifically, but it's just extremely contradictory and absurd. End of rant.
