NVM was thinking siller could come to mich, but with academic problems at purdue i doubt he can cut it at THE U of M. He will probably have to go to some SEC school.
UM football is my heroine
Purdue is a really nice school for academics. One of the tops in the country for engineering, if not the top.
i believe that in the big ten illinois and mich are both better than purdue in engineering...amongst other things. like football
I'm pretty sure UM, Illinois and Purdue are all top ten engineering schools, and there's not enough difference to really call any one of them "better" than the other.
Purdue's engineering claim-to-fame has to do with avionics. Which is a bit ironic given the school's espousal of land-based transportation (i.e. Boilermakers).
Who has been putting out their Kools on my floor?!?!
It's a little more "non sequitur" than it is ironic.
And--yes--aside from my primary profession of knowing exactly what an individual means to say, while irrationally responding with a correction anyway, I do in fact double as a giant douche, on the side.
"I have long thought that anyone who does not regularly - or ever - gaze up and see the wonder and glory of a dark night sky filled with countless stars loses a sense of their fundamental connectedness to the universe."
I appreciate your candor. Though I still see irony in a situation where a school with a choo-choo for a mascot is somewhat renown for its contributions to aviation and aeronautics.
Who has been putting out their Kools on my floor?!?!
Purdue Pete is the school's mascot, and "renowned" is the word you're looking for.
...and by that, I mean helter-skelter, willy-nilly and putt-putt!
1) While Purdue Pete is the official mascot in a 'character' sense, the Boilermaker nonetheless represents the school. Excuse me for my liberal usage of the word 'mascot.'
2) You got my point, but yes, "renowned" is indeed the word I was looking for.
Who has been putting out their Kools on my floor?!?!
You're right. The Boilermaker represents the school, but the train in the logo is not a boilermaker.
...and by that, I mean helter-skelter, willy-nilly and putt-putt!
This got me thinking of a parallel. I've only given it about a minute of thought, but the Stanford Cardinal / Stanford Tree; Alabama Crimson Tide / Stuffed Elephant Thing; and the New Orleans Hornets / Guy in a spandex body suit all come to mind. Oh, and I guess the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers / Giant red blob thing. Any other suggestions?

You got a problem with steam powered aircraft?
I work with a lot of Purdue grads and Rose Holman grads. The Rose guys like to talk about their football team's rivalry with Purdue, how they're undefeated in "the greatest rivalry the other school has no clue about" (granted they've never played each other and never will considering Rose is like Div 4EEE). Maybe Siller could end up there. or Mississippi St.
"So I come out of Ohio Stadium after we beat the Buckeyes, and right there on the hood of my friend's car, some one took a dump, in the shape of an 'O'. no shit. Oh, sorry, bad pun."
I hear you, but no schedule is going to be easy, especially after the last few years. IMO.
