It's got to suck for residents of this 1,000-year-old country (Austria) to be mistaken for a new kid on the block (Autralia), especially since no one ever makes the mistake in the other direction.
Oh man, you guys have no idea how pissed some of my students are about being confused with Australia all the time. Some of them actually have shirts that say that there are no kangaroos in Austria. On a semi-related note, I play outside receiver on a Division II American Football league here:

not alumni, but transfered to gtown after freshman year (would have been LS&A 07 if i had stayed). Now living in Fukuoka, Japan. Oh and this blog is a godsend as it is unbelievably hard to get football news out here.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of U.S. maps that don't include the UP...discrimination! My only problem with the UP is that most of you guys are Packers fans.
