Best SNL sketch in like 5 years, easily.

Is it just me or has SNL sucked since about 2002? I am 29 so I appreciate good humor but it is tough to watch. D in a box was the last thing that really made me laugh. J in my pants was overdone, along with I'm on a boat. Just dumb. And the ripped it from Step-Brothers anyway. And Kristen Wiig plays the same damn part in every skit. Is it the writers or the talent?
Does anyone else thing this way? Or am I being a negative jerk?
I'm dating myself, here, but SNL has not been funny since Eddy Murphy left in the 80s. He was the last in a decent line of comedians: Aykroyd, Chase, Curtin, Radner, Belushi, Steve Martin.
That said, the show has never been consistently funny. I think people (including me) tend to remember the hits and forget the misses of the past. The current misses are simply fresher. Sketch comedy has always been high-risk, high-reward.
That wasn't funny in the least bit.
As far as SNL going downhill, it's got to be the writers. The talent's there (except for Wiig and Kenan - they suck horribly). Maybe Conan needs to go back and get these writers into gear.
All of the actors write as well. That's the way it's always been.
The show doesn't compare to the old days in the 1970's and the Eddie Murphy era, but the Sarah Palin stuff was hilarious. The ratings went way up during the election.
