Guillen called up for Josh Anderson. If he is healthy, this is not a moment too soon.
that is nice bonus change
really really badly
I'll be at the 2nd game tonight with Misopogal and "Vince Neilstein" of Metalsucks.net.
But seriously, thanks for giving me something to look forward to, since Eddie Bonine pitching in Game 2 of a doubleheader with likelihood of rain and a bazillion White Sox in town expecting to rip 1st place away...whew...didn't exactly have me juiced.
i'll be there too!!!
they sending anderson down??? he doesn't have any more options left and thats why the braves traded him to the tigers. i know that they can do it and he has to clear waivers but thats a risky move to make.
either way i think carlos is done!!! and the tigers might be doing this just to see if he has anything left in the tank and then base their moves (if any) at the trade deadline off of what he does.
They need to find out what he can give them to see what they will do at the deadline. I think if he performs poorly or is still sore they might look at holliday even closer, and they might decide its worth it to part with crosby, who appears to be their big hangup.
It looks like Matt Holliday may be heading to St. Louis.
Damn, hopefully dd can find a bat somewhere.
can only bat left handed and not play the field. Also, he can only advance one base at a time on hits and can no longer chew on sunflower seeds for fear of choking.
Other than that, he is ready to go.
It sounds like he will be in a platoon with Thames at DH and bat against right handed pitchers.
maybe he got on the 'roids while he was out
Holliday just got traded. I know people say he's a product of Coors field, but he still has extra base power and that's something the tigers could have used. Are there any other bats available?
of sending down Anderson and all his speed, but damnit, we need another bat fast!
play last night with the Mudhens. A couple of great base hits. He looks like he's doggin it around the bases though.
eh. he's 90 years old.
I would love for Guillen to step into the lineup and start hitting, but this team needs more than a mediocre, station-to-station player on the downside of his career. I never thought Holiday made much sense, but I would like to see Detroit nab a guy with some decent OPS/low strike-out total, even if he is not a major power threat. This team can hit homeruns; it needs to find a way to drive in the guy from second with less than 2 outs beyond a flyball.
