Hit by the lucky stick - my bud in LA has an extra for Game 4 next Thursday at Honda Center and it's mine. I will be among many Ducks fans, so do I keep it subtle, just tshirt and black '02 Cup cap? Or all-out Wings sweater & face paint with white '08 cap?
OT - Duck Pond / Game 4
Red Wings fans travel well. You definitely won't be the only one wearing Wings gear there. And it's not like it's tUOS....there will be no feces thrown at you in Anaheim.
fine, considering that you are wings fan that lives in toronto. if you can survive that you can survive anything.
Wear the jersey. It's not Columbus.
Just don't go over the top and wear the Wingnut. Enjoy the game, and hopefully this will be the series clincher! Stay classy like our organization, and you will have no problem. I wore Wings shirt and a Michigan hat to a Wings-Bruins game last year, and I found that the Bruins fans were respectful after a little ribbing. Hockey fans tend to be a respectable lot, and I think that they will be less rabid in southern cal.
That first sentence is good advice for JLA as well.
Definitely wear the jersey -- when I went to M's basketball game at Indiana, I was pleasantly surprised to find how much fun it can be to be a fan on the road. And Wings fans do travel well, so you'll have plenty of friends.
Total wine and cheese crowd at the Honda Center (formerly "The Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim"). Effete chardonnay sippers searching for a biscuit upon which to apply some tasty Gruyere. You will be beyond fine. Wear many, many pieces of flair.
I've worn a Wings jersey to Kings, Ducks, and Coyote home playoff games without any problems. I rooted for the Wings, not against the fans around me. Oh, and I didn't drink too much! You should be fine. Got any extra tix?
I would wear the sweater, but not the face paint, and be sure to bring an octopus.
I would wear the sweater, but not the face paint, and be sure to bring an octopus. In your pants.
