anybody know any good deals around here? walking 9 holes of leslie park is $10 for twilight and that's the best thing i've come across.

Is the UofM course still $20 for students (and I think also alums)? That was one of the best golf deals I've found anywhere. I love that course.
It's 25 bucks now, and 40 for alumni.
Great course though. Same guy designed Augusta National, so unsurprisingly the greens are absurd.
You're right, the greens on that course are insane.
Just curious - what are the greens fees if you're neither a student nor an alum? Even at $40, it's an incredible value.
I think it's $20 for all-you-can-play during twilight hours at the UM course. That's if you're an alum. They may ask if you are an alum, but they never ask for any kind of proof. Go to the course website for details on when twilight begins, etc... Also - make a reservation in advance. Twilight can get packed since it's a good deal.
For quality of the course, EMU is an incredible deal. You also get a student discount for going to a state school (at least you did a few years ago). I think it ended up being between $25-$35 for 18 with a cart.
Really, it's a beautiful course, they play the state highschool tourneys there.
EMU is one of the best courses around especially for the price. 1p or later tee time there on weekends is pretty cheap.
Another good course that is pretty cheap if they are still at spring rates is Pierce Lake in Chelsea.
my favorite local track
There are some good twilight rates there, though it's a little bit of a drive.
Also- I highly recommend signing up for www.lastminutegolfer.com. They have great discounts, at places like Stonebridge, Moose Ridge, etc.
I recommend Brookside Golf Course in Saline. Very old-school in feel, but also very cheap. Can't speak to the conditions at this time of the year, though. All courses in MI can be rough well into May.
Is a good deal, especially if you are an Ypsi Township resident. http://www.twp.ypsilanti.mi.us/recreate/greenoaks.shtml
They still don't have carts but they said they're getting them by the end of the summer. $18 for 18 on weekdays.
Have you gone out to Waterloo yet? It's about a 20 minute drive out there. Really cheap, even if you want to get a cart. Even on weekends it doesn't get too crowded, and it's not a half-bad course either. Best thing to do is get some guys together and rent one of their cabins. You camp out friday night, get up early and play golf, hike around or swim in the afternoon. Cheapest weekend of summer awesome Ann Arbor has to offer, IMO (that and putting chairs out on your lawn and drinkin cheap beer until wearing the box as a hat sounds like a genius plan, of course).
I think we should have an MGoBlog golf outing. All those in favor? Opposed?
