The above is a near-comprehensive look at Michigan's run plays on first down. I'm so sorry.

[Hit THE JUMP for more sad, because obviously.]

No voting this week, and I didn't bother to use lightboxes because f*** it, that's why. If you've got a non-Chrome browser hit 'escape' to stop the sadimation.

You gotta admit...every week is a surprise. Thought Minnesota would give is trouble the way we've been playing...NOPE. Thought we had Saturdays game vs PSU won. Nope.
What will Indiana bring??????
So exciting. I JUST WISH WE COULD RUN THE GD BALL. HOW HARD CAN IT BE???????

We actually do some things really well on offense. Like passing out of stacked trips formations. Like read-option out of the pistol and shotgun.

Yet the coaches keep insisting we run outside zone when it was obvious weeks ago that we couldn't run it. Actually it was obvious against Notre Dame, and then against Akron. If you can't run something against Akron, you probably won't be able to run it against Penn State.

What is sad is Borges will do the same thing in this game and UM will have "Minnesota like" success i.e. 100 yards on 30 carries or whatever, and the thinking will be they are making progress as the Indiana DL might be the worst in Big 10 by a country mile.  Then we will face real defenses the rest of the way - yeah even Nebraska who is going to make this OL look like chopped liver.  This week the entire game plan should not be doing things that work against Indiana but practicing things that give the offense a friggin chance against MSU, OSU, Iowa, Nebraska, NW.
