One Frame At A Time: MSU Past Comment Count

"...he has no idea Charles Woodson can jump 15 feet in the air." — actual call, not really hyperbole.

When I posted the above GIF on Twitter today, someone pointed out that the icing on the cake was Dhani Jones (#55) body-slamming the MSU receiver on the sideline. I've watched that play literally hundreds of times since it first happened (gulp) 16 years ago; this is the first time I've ever noticed Dhani's hit. Watching a purportedly-mortal human take flight can be distracting.

[Hit THE JUMP for Braylonfest.gif, Desmond Howard doing Desmond Howard things, Manningham FTW, and more.]

My laptop is being a pain so no lightboxes for these. If you have a non-Chrome browser, hit 'escape' to stop animation. If you have Chrome, I highly recommend adding the extension GIF Scrubber, which gives you movie-like control of GIFs.

Last year's MSU OFAAT post lives here; it was actually the first full-blown OFAAT, and I was still getting the hang of the GIFs thing, but this one holds up well:

From 2007, here's Mario Manningham's game-winning touchdown:

Other 2007 GIFs: Henne's freakin' perfect TD pass to Mathews, Hart saves Mallett's bacon, Henne's comical yet triumphant exit.

From 2004, BRAYLONFEST DOT GIF:

Tyrone Wheatley laughs at your futile tackling attempts:

Yep, still laughing.

Interfere with this:

Kicking to Desmond: not a good idea.

No, Michigan State did not invent, nor perfect, the fake punt:

Move, ref, get out the way.

Another reason I love that gif of the Woodson pick is because I can see a friend of mine who was sitting on the field in the end zone that day.  I forget how she got the tickets, she must of knew someone, but she got tickets for her, her boyfriend and another friend to sit on the field for that game.

Everyone else sitting on the field there is State's 1987 Rose Bowl team, who were there for their ten year reunion.  So glad they had front row seats to see Woodson's interception up close.

hands down the best play I have ever seen in college football...

for reference the best nfl play I have ever seen is Terrell owens blocking on the Garrison hearst run back in the day...

I can't wait for tomorrow.

Two Pro-Bowlers on that line when Barry was here. The talent was no where near the level of the Cowboy's line. But that line wasn't the worst line in the NFC that year, Let alone history.

With that being said, Barry was truly the best!

Lays a good lick on the sparty QB during the Woodson INT! We use to be the team that savaged sparty! We need to get back to the hard hitting football.
