That's funny! Somehow it would be good to get the sound that the play guy made (not Spielman?) when that happened on live TV and the camera jerked away! I had to go back and watch it 3 times as my kids (12 year olds) and I laughed our asses off. #badmom

Because I've vowed to never ever watch THAT replay ever again as long as I live. It'd have to be accidentally or otherwise forced upon me to watch it. The pain that day was enough. Thanks for the bird.

Durkin had a lip read "Are you f**king kidding me?" at one point in the game as well. Can we get a gif of that one? it was 8:15 left Q1 after the 12 men on the field penalty.

I would like to see that exchanged picture page'd because it seems the coaches were getting clarity from the refs about what constituted 12 men on the field. I saw Durkin pointing to wars either MSU or the defense and asking "is that 12?" I think Michigan was putting that 12th guy on the field to try and match with MSU late substitutions and refs didn't like something about it.

I don't know why I think this but this gif would not seem nearly so epic if the kid weren't wearing a Patriots hat.  Michigan fans who also root for New England are basically saying "fuck you" to the rest of the football world.  At least that's why I root for them.

Spent most of my childhood growing up in A2, but I was born in Pittsburgh, and always been a Steelers fan (as well as the perpetual pain of being a Pirates fan).

My best friend growing up was a Packer fan- his dad (professor at UofM) was from Iowa - and I think they were also Packer fans for the political/economic dynamic of community ownership versus spoiled rich guy ownership.

Didn't hate, but didn't love Detroit professional teams (followed the Pistons though) growing up.  Maybe that's part of being a kid, too.  Wanting to set yourself apart as an individual at times; wanting to fit in at others.

Nowadays, from afar I really want Detroit teams to win, as I see that city as the underdog, the old contender grown old, trying for a comeback, desperately needing a "win" anytime they can find it.

I internally blamed this kid for pissing off God, and in turn we were dealt the Sparty Miracle. Still have a hard time not finding this sequence one of the most comical things I've ever witnessed on live television.

I was wondering - maybe this guy was on to something? Maybe if every person in the stands had flipped the bird at the same time, maybe one of the refs would have thrown a flag, the play would have been nullified, and we would have won? Just a thought.

Frozen four way back when...
I aced the whole world during the Minnesota - Michigan hockey game.
Sadly we lost 3-2. And the cameraman said mean things to me.

We're approaching 48 hours later and I'm still sick to my stomach. Couldn't stand the thought of turning on BTN yesterday and don't want to read what the internet has to say.  I just stare at my dog and ponder the meaning of it all.

This kid sums it up for me; fuck you, universe.  FUCK. YOU.
