One Frame At A Time: Michigan State Comment Count

Ace

Seeing Denard grimace and swear is akin to seeing Santa remove his fake beard and take a long pull from a flask. Something's gone horribly wrong and perhaps it's time you stopped believing in certain things—like the possibility of a Big Ten title or the existence of Santa Claus.

[After THE JUMP: More cursing! More sadness! But also basketball!]

As per usual, click on the stills to open each GIF in a lightbox.

I tried to condense the story of this game into a few GIFs without doing a Gardner Getting Sacked montage because even I have limits, not to mention zero interest in reliving that. There is no voting, because there are no winners.

The Snap

Had to be included. Before you complain about the blatant helmet tug at the end, please note that Michigan fans are in no position to complain about such things this week.

The Saddest GIF Ever

If you watched this game and didn't feel both sympathy and admiration for Devin Gardner, there's a hole where your soul's supposed to be.

HOKE WOULD BE ON THE NAUGHTY LIST IF SANTA EXISTED, WHICH HE DOESN'T

You can debate whether he preceded it with "what the..." or "mother..." but there's no debating the final syllable or overall message. (Both are the same, incidentally.)

AT LEAST SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE

Bless you, Sparty bros.

HOORAY BASKETBALL

Hooray.

...is obviously doctored.  swearing on the sideline might be construed as evidence of passion, and everyone here knows he doesn't have any.  because, you know, press conferences.

Not just from the .gif, but I feel that Brady Hoke is more stern than a lot of fans here think he is. He puts on a front for the pressers but I think when it's just him, the players, and the other coaches, he can be a mean son'bitch.

i knew our team was young but i really didn't realize how young until i read TomVH's article. We have 57 scholarship players who are red shirt freshman or younger, 10 of our 14 scholarhip O linemen are redshirt freshman or younger. You can say "whatever team" starts so and so Rs freshman or true freshman o linemen but most who do, do it because they are that good, not because it's all you got. I have renewed faith in the future for atleast another 2 years

of blocking in the snap GIF makes me hope that it was a screen play.  Because if their idea of blocking is touching the D lineman for a second, then we are going to rush for -48 yards....oh wait.
