One Frame At A Time: Michigan State
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to One Frame At A Time, our new weekly gifs post that will go up each Monday morning after football weekends (and probably continuing into basketball season, too, and whenever else it strikes my fancy).
From here on out, words will be sparse; if one picture is worth a thousand, I won't bother to calculate how many are accounted for by a moving image—bajillions, probably. In that sense, apologies for my wordiness, but the Michigan State game was a treasure trove for gifs. Par exemple:

[Due to the large file sizes, the rest of this week's gifs are after THE JUMP. Remember that you can always hit 'escape' (except in Chrome) to stop the animation.]
The Threat:

Jake Ryan remains terrifying, and it's probably a bad idea to try to block him with a running back, mooseback or no:

I think Denard really wanted to beat State, you guys:

The winning field goal, full-screen edition:

The winning field goal, special schadenfreude edition:

Finally, I'm not sure what's going on here, but excuse me while I wash my eyes with bleach:

That's all for this post, though I know I've inevitably left out some worthy candidates—perhaps most notably, the final kickoff yakety saxing. Stay tuned to my Twitter account for more throughout the week.
EDIT: Almost forgot—freshman receiver Amara Darboh gets into the act, as well. OH MY GOD THAT'S GOING TO KEEP HIM OUT A LONG TIME ohhhhh wait I see what he did there.
These are great, Ace! Thanks to you from all of us in corporate firewall land!
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
...this sentiment. Many thanks to Ace for the considerable effort.

Can you host these as an imgur album? Flikr doesnt work too good out here.

For space purposes—given the amount of pictures I upload, I need to pay for a premium account—these have to be on Flickr. If an enterprising mgoblogger wants to save the originals, upload them to imgur, and post the link here, I have no problem with that; I'm certainly not trying to deprive our deployed friends of being able to see them.
I was hoping that these would be hosted here on the site like last weeks, but I guess if space is an issue then that probably can't happen. Neither Flickr or Imgur can get past my companies firewall, guess I will just have to check at home.
I see, well I appreciate the response even if its not the one I wish I would have gotten!

Love Ryan blowing by everyone on his way to Maxwell. One of my favorite plays of the game. Denard to Dileo though is the definition of clutch.

on Bell, but if I recall, there was no flag thrown.
Sure, ten more yards are lost, but not the down. No flag, Ryan gets credit for the sack and TFL, ten yards are lost on the play as well as the down.

My guess is it would be declined.
Mike Martin told me he loves me. My life is quite possibly complete.

this may just be me being picky, but does anyone else think the mgoblog tags are a touch large? (could just be watching on phone problem?) other than that I like it
...drink...this is a terrible idea
I think these are great. I was just wondering, though, whether there was any way to decrease the speed of these gifs. It seems to me that your gifs thus far have been more jittery than most others I've seen. Is that a product of the program you're using, or is it more of a stylistic decision?
Formerly 'mgoblaniel.'
Just my inexperience—I've been doing these for a week now, and certainly don't have it down pat by any stretch. For the straightforward gifs I'm using a program that allows me to set frame delay, but I might start saving those as frames and doing that part in Photoshop, where I have a little more control. With a little more practice I should be able to smooth these out.
I just assummed that after that crazy string of multiple recruits we got last spring, Ace has gotten into the habit of doing everything as fast as possible.
For awhile there the poor guy could barely breathe between having to type up "Hello" posts.
Candace: No... That why they make smart word box for tell monkey hard brain-hurty things.
Phineas: Removing prepositions makes it more condescending.
As an ardent gif-lover, I vehemently approve of this new series on the site.
Avatar is a reference to this. Go Blue!
Hit the $@#$ out of that football. I really thought he pulled it watching from my couch, but the thing was through the uprights so fast it didn't matter.
Hail to the colors that float in the light-
Hurrah for the Yellow and Blue!
The wind just got knocked out of Darboh. Or, I suppose more accurately the wind fell out of Darboh. He'll be back soon.
These are that beautiful. Praise be to Bo in the highest.
Are the winning field goal gifs supposed to be sped up? They are moving blazingly fast on my laptop (the others are moving at regular speed).
Anyway, great gifs.
Awesome gifs -a little too fast for old eyes.
life is like a box of chocolates... and you got the Whizzo Quality Assortment

Really like the idea for this series.
Football is both an identity and a terminal illness. A rhythm and a chaos and an opiate for the mind all at once.

Love Dantonio's glare over to the Michigan sideline there.
"Look at all those happy people. I was happy once. It was terrible."
If I had any idea what I was doing with .gifs, I want to add a caption to that one saying, "ahhhhchoooo!!!" Angriest sneeze ever.
We needed our own LSU Freek on this site. Ace Freek...nicely done.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Jake Ryan is incredible. Like Clay Matthews but faster with better hair. /FredVidalSassoonJackson'd
But thank you for the sequence of Dantonio watching the kick go through the uprights. Priceless.

Love the MSU player who thinks Gibbons' field goal was no good, and then shrugs in disbelief when he sees the refs raise their arms.

It's appears to be like the raising the roof picture, but more like a "pushing the wall." Could it be please let me break through my invisisble jail cell wall and into your glorious stadium? Perhaps
