just what the Pistons need: a third string center. Joe Dumars was replaced by a mean ol' alien a few years back you guys.
One Frame At A Time: Iowa

At that moment, Iowa's bench decided they'd seen enough. Fran turned to call them back, then thought better of it. Run, my children. Run while you can.

Hey, they finally did it!
Twice!
So nice, gif'd it twice:
Ankle's fine, guys:
Deploy "Trey Burke is not human" tag:
Um, deploy it again?

[Gus Johnson squeak]:
Awesome, Ace. Keep 'em rolling.
Re: Gus Johnson. He was on fire during the Iowa game. My fave comment involved Gus describing an Iowa offensive move (White?) as an effective move that you just might see at a local "Y" pick-up game by someone wearing knee pads.
the trip to school in "Fast Break".
We're gonna play with toughness, we're gonna be responsible and we're gonna play with toughness. This is Michigan.
Avatar is a reference to this. Go Blue!
Stauskas is Reggie Miller!!
Nik "The Loon" Stauskas is amaahhzing!!
It's great to be a MICHIGAN WOLVERINE!!!!
Watching these gifs lets me appreciate in slow motion, over & over, in exquisite detail, exactly how awesome Trey Burke is.
I was just like, oh, good patience to let him fly by before you lay it-WHATTTTT
We're good at basketball.
"Over? Did you say, over? Nothing is over until we decide it is!"
Dunky dunk dunks. I like dunks. Yum in my belly.
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!
He's got a major man crush on Stauskas, you can tell.
That McGarry block was a thing of beauty...when I saw it live, it brought me to mah feet! Love his game...tough kid and gets better and better with the outlet passes.
The Team, The Team, The Team
It must have been a Maplia Leaf.
Should we point instead of fist pump during the Victors?
These are great. I like this segment.
Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast.
Ace, that first Stauskas gif looked really familiar to me. Is it somehow possible to sync up or combine Stauskas hanging from the rim with Prince handing from the rim on Chapelle's Show?
At first I thought my favorite part of the first Trey Burke one was the filthy crossover.
But then I noticed that instead of crashing the boards, Hardaway Jr. starts running back on defense as Burke is releasing the shot because he is already certain that the ball is going in! Wooooowwwww.
This has also been described as "getting back to play defense". Seriously though, it's always been a big part of Beilein's gameplan to not allow fast break points. That's part of why his teams often have paltry offensive rebounding numbers.
Except for the other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.
If Timmy were to stick around one more year and spend the summer teaching Stauskas to develop his handle the way Timmy has... the potential there is somewhere between unreal and pants-crappingly unreal.
"This is the EMU game, not the emo game."
I could still see Hardaway sticking around for his senior year. He doesn't need to get to the league this year, his family has money. Hopefully Tim Sr. will convince him to stay, maybe just wishful thinking...

Jr. is in position to do whatever he wants. His NBA dad with NBA money and access to GRobIII's NBA dad to give advice; his coaching staff and personal advisors; the ability to play on a top 5 team this year and next that everyone will say is "tims team"; all these things give Jr. an uncommon incentive to stay. The only reason to jump before graduating is to start earning a paycheck, which is weighed against risk of injury. Jr. has enough coaching and advising to know how to reduce the risk of injury and play smart. He doesn't need to start earning a paycheck. If he brings Michigan to a sweet 16 finish this year AND next, he'll be rewarded on draft day; and he'll have a Michigan degree. Tim hardaway jr., who chose to attend a top academic university, who has no insurmountable pressure to jump, who can only improve his collegiate legacy by leading another top team as a senior, SHOULD stay another year.
E to the S Go Blue, Class of '04
With 1210 points, Tim Hardaway Jr. has now tied some guy named Robert Traylor (/s) at 35th all-time for most career points in a Michigan uniform. Good job Timmy!
To have only 17 points 13 minutes into the half and end up with 46 is crazy. The light switch went on and Iowa was shut down!
I watched the game again last night and noticed that we had about 23 points with under 4 minutes to go and doubled that number in less than 1/5th of the half.....effing amazing.
Caris Lavert and McGary keep improving and it gives us so many more options, I loved that 15 footer Mitch hit in the 1st half on a nice assist from Trey I believe, as usual. Mitch being able to knock that type of shot down has to be horrifying for opposing teams.
When Horford comes back, we will have 10 legit players giving us an array of big fellas, wing guys and ball handlers, yes we are really good at basketball. Oh, I like our coaching staff too, they seem to be pretty good at what they do.
I would love to see Ed Helms in The Hangover 3 play a pickup game of basketball with the wolfpack, and his dad, played by Fran sitting just off the court. During the game Stu would drop the ball out of bounds, and the gif of Fran is yelling at him to use two hands.
It would explain why Stu is so neurotic, growing up with McCaffery as your dad, always worring about when the next rant/meltdown is going to happen.
Ann Arbor by birth. Wolverine by choice.
McGary didn't break his collar bone on the follow through.

I love Stauskas swag so hard. You can hear Gus going "uhn" as Stauskas hangs on the rim. Killerwhaletank y'all.
