HONORABLE MENTION

Kekoa Crawford, rather open.
Devin Bush insta-sack.
DPJ jet sweep.
Onwenu gets a pancake.
Khaleke Hudson runs through hold for his second sack.
Speight, Harbaugh disagree with no-call.
Speight stiff-arm and spin move.
Mo Hurst gets down to "Children's Story."

10. MEAT FOR THE MEAT GOD

Yes, Mo Hurst makes a really impressive play here, but watch how far Bryan Mone moves two large human beings trying to push him in the other direction. He definitely doesn't skip leg day.

9. Mr. Brightside

I'M COMING OUT OF MY CAGE

8. Fakeout Block

It really looks like Mason Cole is going to pick off the corner on the edge; instead, he charges full speed ahead and wipes out the safety. Beautiful.

7. Route Artisan, Now With Extra Giddyup

Lovely extension on the finish.

6. Y'all Scared

I choose to believe Rashan Gary was solely responsible for this timeout.

5. Mortified Punter Isn't Ours This Time

This is what happens when you send your punt team onto the field with 15 seconds on the play clock. Grape job, Fickell.

4. Two Wins-ovich

Watch for the bull rush.

Alright, maybe option him off, then.

Oh.

3. We Did The Pick Sixes This Time

Kinnel with some flair at the finish:

Hill turns on the jets:

Defense 14, Offense 14.

2. You Made Him Angry

"Targeting":

Targeting?

I'll show you targeting.

Poor Damn Hayden Moore. He didn't throw that flag.

FRAMES OF THE GAME: TWICE LEFT HANGING

Poor Damn Chase Winovich.

I like when I hit play on each one as I scroll down, then I scroll back up and they're all playing at the same time. It's like I'm the maestro of a beautiful orchestra.

The feeling in the stadium after that big hit (the post-targeting revenge) was total bloodlust.

Fans had been pissed at the refs, and Gary's hit was like a return volley that usually never gets fired back at the referees.

I can't think of another time in my (limited) in-person viewing of football that folks gave a standing ovation to a hit that wasn't a sack or TFL.

The only thing missing is the punter's facial expression, but still ... beautiful.  You can see him getting into his rhythm, getting his head right, and catching the ball whizzing past his head in a perfect 1, 2, 3 sequence.  And none of this is really his (or his snapper's) fault - it's Fickell's for being Fickell.

(I loved when Brock Huard was apologizing for Fickell's clock management along the lines of "well, he's relatively new at this" ... .  Like a life in football and having been a head coach at OSU wouldn't give you some background.)

Man, I know he isn't the most talented guy on this defense (he's no slouch either), but he has very quickly become my favorite player on the team. He plays like his hair is on fire every single snap. "We don't even have brakes, we're all gas" Game sealing strip/sack vs Florida Singing on the sideline Not just playing both sides of the option, but has the ability to tackle both guys after the mesh point. I expect that to be a +3 in UFR.

The LT for the Bearcats was getting abused by both Winovich and Gary.  I especially liked the play when Winovich deposited Cunningham on his backside before getting in the QBs face.

CB's playing "bump and run" it turns out that both pick 6's occurred as we were in zone.  Great drops by the LB's forced over throws that led to both INT's.  Great job boys !

Go Blue!

Do we think it's a case of guys bein' dudes and Rashan just having fun at Chase's expense, or do we think that there might be a bit of animosity and a sense of "What the hell are you doing?" with the high fives thing?

"I know defeat.  Thy name is Rashan Gary."

"Ref make Rashan mad!"

The facemask-to-turf move by Moore that says, "I'm done," is full of GIF win.

I think watching a defense collectively react to and then block on an interception return is one of the coolest things in football. These guys tackle, they don't block, and to see them all start blocking for the benefit of their team is really neat. It's really noticeable on the Kinnel interception.

My favorite part of the Gary Post-Targeting Gif is, when Moore is laying on the ground and his head just droops down.  You can all but hear the wimper of pain and frustration.

then Mr. Brightside is the clear, undisputed winner.

It certainly looks to me like Brown looks at Chase, then raises his hand and says "alright, no singing." Then a brief look of disgust before the clip ends.

That's simply incredible.
