OMG Pantsless, OMG Hopeless
Two pictures that somehow summarize the directions of two linked programs follow. Be careful with your eyebrows, folks.
There have been a lot of changes in Michigan's program over the last few months, ranging from the expected (lots of shotgun, zone read option) to the… well…
…unexpected profusion of naked freshmen. Earlier this year we had the assortment of shirtless helmeted guys; now we've got freshman wideout Terrance Robinson without a helmet. Or anything else except an arched eyebrow and all that promises in the way of smooth jazz and smoother lovin'.
Meanwhile, this screencap will haunt Bill Stewart for the rest of time.
There's nothing more to say. This is Bill Stewart, now and forever. It's over.

I saw that expression during the game. I think it's the " Oh God somebody tell me what to do before I open my eyes" look.

there's no place like home, there's no place like home.

"What the hell did I get my self into" look

Or is that just a dumb student putting a picture on his facebook / myspace page?

What's dumb about taking a picture of yourself naked? I think a bunch of the female athlete's should take a page out of T-Rob's playbook here.

I don't really see a problem, though we've gone from OMG shirtless to OMG pantsless. If we move on to OMG pubeless! Then I'll be terrified.

But ... but ... Bill Stewart loves West Virginia, and that's what counts!

is that Terrance Robinson or a young Eriq La Salle?

Where are all the toothless hill humpers. What is Grandpa Stew's overall record now?

"oh, God, that wasn't a fart" look.

I love what is happening to that school right now. I hope they fade away into obscurity...
Why, you might ask? Simply because West Virginia is the least educated state in the union, and it shows.

you have won it.

That picture of Stewart should be the entire "This Week in Schadenfreude*" post for this week. Screw whatever happens tomorrow.

TR, while your inquisition is clearly spectacular, I'm going to gracefully decline.

... by other teams in the B10. Maybe not by Michigan, but watching them today struggle with almighty Troy leads me to think they're not going through the conference unscathed. Terrelle Pryor may be enormously talented, but he's still a raw freshman who will be making raw freshman mistakes.

I gotta believe the high-profile Tennessee alums have to be livid. I bet he'll be the highest profile coach to depart after this season, unless JoePa or Bowden take a hike.
MSU is a solid team, but Dantonio's offense makes Carr look wild and crazy. zzzzzzzz.

Of all things to be the first post on the site for days on end...

Call it my feminine side, but i feel really bad for the WVU faithful. We steal the brains of their program. They are left to flail helplessly in the arms of a truly nice guy, in way over his head.
September 21st, 2008 at 1:06 PM ^
they could have a real coach. Ed Pastilong is still there because WVU fans don't know who really screwed up.
September 21st, 2008 at 2:16 AM ^
"high-profile Tennessee alums"? So you mean those who can spell?
September 21st, 2008 at 9:48 AM ^
Ninja, the ones who can spell are the ones who went elsewhere for undergrad and then went to Tennessee for grad school.
September 21st, 2008 at 12:17 PM ^
Yeah, I feel a little sorry for WVU. I hope they do turn it around eventually. Having said that, it is a tad satisfying to see that without RR, they can't sustain their greatness.
September 22nd, 2008 at 12:35 PM ^
For a fan base that has spent months railing against WV for being obsessed with RR, you guys sure do spend a lot of time discussing WVU football
