Not sure if I spelled his name right but I heard he is getting closer to a decision. Do we have any indication about where he might be leaning. I know he was at UM recently but I'm not sure if UM or Sparty leads for his services. I'd love to get him. Any thoughts?
instate pick-up for Blue.
He told me this weekend that he will have some news for me on Wednesday. He said he's not committing, but I will like the news. I have no idea what that means. I'll let you know tomorrow though.
Thanks Tom! Something to look forward to amidst the "excitement" of exams. Good news is always appreciated.
We are in his Top 3?
He has an offer, so he's apparently in M's top 450.
Looking at his stats and comments, I would say he reminds me of a rougher/more unpolished version of Craig Roh. It's always nice to have an edge pass rusher, but I think he might turn out to be a LB come college. Scout has him at 6'5" 230 running a mid-high 4.6 40 (prob. fake). If he can arrive as a freshman at 6'5" 240 with a 4.60 40 then he is definately set to be a run stuffing LB leaving Roh to be the edge rusher with that extra year of experience.
what? he's CURRENTLY the same size as craig roh was as a senior yet you think he'll play LB in college while roh plays DE? how does that make any sense? he's a DE
Michigan has a good chance, but I don't think he's ready to commit yet. I'm just expecting him to narrow it down to a top three or four.
Yea, he said he's not committing, just that I will like the news.
...the kid stood you up yesterday Tom VH. No news?
Sam Webb commented this morning on WTKA’s recruiting roundup that he just picked up an offer from Oklahoma, but that Michigan was in this week to see his coach. Webb also mentioned that there were no imminent signs of a decision yet. Hopefully the good news coming Tom’s way is that he’s narrowed down his list to a top 3 and that we’re in the driver’s seat of some sort. With Oklahoma in the mix, and already having offers from Miami, Penn State, and Virginia Tech it goes without saying that he would be a great pick-up to add more depth and competition to the DE position.
to understand from the various articles and message boards that the longer this goes on, the better it is for us.
